I got an unexpected "out of disk space" on my SC17 recently, and after a few minutes, realized the "problem" was the c:/users/public/pictures directory, which had a bazillion (plus or minus) BMP files, each 24mb in size.
 
Some of them dated back to January, then a few in feb, a few on Mar 10, then on march 16th, it basically started taking like 3-4 screenshots per minute, 24 hours a day, only missing those times it was in standby.
 
I rarely use the precisionX app, and have never (intentionally) used it's screen capture utility. Looking at the configuration, I see that the "hotkey" is blank. The field was empty. I tried setting it to a value (Alt-F1 or something), and even going as far as rebooting so everything has a clean start.
 
Nope. The minute I start PrecisionX (I disabled the "start when OS starts" when I discovered it was the culprit) - I start getting lots and lots and lots and lots of screen captures.
 
I admit, I honestly don't have a lot of value for the program - though I occasionally use the "underclock" option if I'm just doing work (telnet doesn't need a whole lot of CPU). But is this fixable? I don't see any updated versions or similar complaints, so maybe I just stumbled on some unusual config error.

At this time by your comments it appears the issue has been fixed?

Hi, thanks for the ultra-quick reply. No, it's still an issue - the only way to stop the screen captures is to exit out of PrecisionX mobile. (I also changed the capture type to jpeg so it creates much smaller files in case I do need to use it) - but I am unable to get it to stop creating screenshots whenever the program is loaded.
 
It would be nice if there was a fix, I love the laptop and this is really the first time it's done anything but behave flawlessly for me. Thank you!

Was just checking if there were any updates, or possible user-adjustable settings I could look at to help resolve this issue with PrecisionX Mobile. I'm willing to poke around in the registry if there's any info on areas I might look (or avoid) that could be related to this?
 
Still loving the SC17, just maybe don't need quite as many pictures to prove it :-)

What version of Precision mobile are you running? 
 
I formatted my laptop and installed the version for download from the EVGA website (Version 0.5.2) and noticed that I now have the same screen capture issue you mentioned. 
 
I was able to restore the factory installed Precision Mobile (version 1.0.2) from an "image" or "clone" I made of the hard drive before I reinstalled Windows 10.  I also changed the "blank" Screen Capture hotkey to "shift-f5" and it stopped the screen caps for me. 
 
One last note...  the older version of the software (Version 0.5.2) I mentioned before breaks the EVGA Logo light on the lid as well. 
 
EVGA... can you update the download link on your website to Precision mobile 1.0.2 or greater?

One more thing... I have the GEN 2 version of the SC-17 laptop.  The one with the NVidia 1070 GPU without G-SYNC.  I believe they now have a GEN 3 version of the SC-17 with G-SYNC..  I don't know if that makes a difference.

I believe I'm running 1.0.0 - and I'm pretty sure I have the first-gen laptop. I dug around and was able to find the 0.5.2 version.
 
There's a lot I love about this laptop - but PrecisionX is supposed to be the "special sauce" that brings out all the capabilities of the machine. I'd really like to see at least a "we are still investigating this" type of update from EVGA. 
 
This is your showcase product, folks - a premium price for a premium, fully-integrated product. Chase this one down, you can do it!

Send me your email in a private message and I'll zip up the version I have and send you a dropbox link. Since it is not an install file.... you will need to shutdown Precision mobile. Find the folder where It was installed and Delete the contents of that folder. Finally unzip the zip file and move the contents of the zip into the precision mobile folder. Reboot and manually start precision mobile and set it run automatically at startup and see if it fixes your problem.

I would make a copy of your Precision mobile folder incase it doesn't work for you and need to restore it back the way it was.

This is how I had to "Reinstall" precision mobile and this process works for me.
