LG is ready to launch their 32UD99-W 32" Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with HDR10 and FreeSync on March 28th, 2017. You can Pre-Order the monitor at B&H Photo and Video for $999. HDR is something that I'm personally looking forward to. This LG should impress with it's IPS screen, but I do wish the screen was larger though. Of course AMD FreeSync is icing on the cake especially if VEGA is a powerful GPU solution The specification sheet for the monitor is impressive with these stats: - Display 4-Side Borderless
- Color Gamut DCI-P3 95% (CIE 1976)
- Brightness Peak 550 nits / Typical 350 nits
- Response Time 5ms GTG
- HDR HDR10
- USB Type-C™ 4K + Power Charging (~60W) + Data
- Interface USB Type-C™ Display Port 1.2, HDMI 2.0a x 2, USB 3.0 Downstream x 2
- AMD FreeSync™
- OnScreen Control
- Dual Controller

How is this advertised as HDR10 with only 350 nits brightness? HDR10 is supposed to be 1000 nits. Is this even a 10-bit panel? Refresh rate? Seems like false advertising again by the panel industry.

Why would you even make a 60hz monitor without OLED or Quantum Dot in 2017? These companies are trying to short their customers every way they can.

I see no reason for this "HDR" technology. I have looked into it and it seems like a gimmick, I will withhold judgement until I see a display with HDR in the flesh.

rjohnson11 What's the refresh rate?
60Hz... http://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/d1e796e And... http://www.144hzmonitors.com/reviews/lg-32ud99-review/ They can keep it...
Agreed.
Have you guys gamed on a 4k Monitor above 60hz you need like 2 1080ti to even get above 60 fps from what I heard. When it comes to 4k gaming getting both is hard. You either get high resolution or 144hz getting both at the same time is really hard.
980 TI at 1500MHz at 4K in Doom runs about 55-58FPS avg (my system), with minimums in the 40s. It takes serious GPU power to keep the minimums up above the screens refresh rate.

Just give me a 21.9 curved IPS 1440P/4K with DP 1.3+ 144Hz already. Why we still dont have better choices for Gsync monitors, Im already looking at pair of AMD GPU's "better GPU drivers" and better choices for FreeSync monitors...
