Will one GTX 1080 have enough performance for that monitor.

I doubt it....  a 1080ti would be way better for this!

I already have a 1080 - I'm probably gonna bick up another 1080 and sli - that would probably be the sweet spot, because I don't even think a 1080ti is going to max out games at 4k with 144hz - lol

Does anyone know when this badboy is gonna be released?!

I agree.  It's incredible to me that they keep pushing 4k screens at under 30".  When you do that, you might as well just be using a 2560x1440 display.  You don't really get to see those extra pixels at work, but your GPU and CPU definitely feel the load... lol

I just want a monitor with high refresh rate - and with hdmi 2.0 so I can use my Xbox one s and PS4 Pro on it also (with 4k resolutions)

I would love to have this in a 32" also - but I don't know if its gonna happen :'(

I have a 27" 1440p and a 28" 4K sitting in front of me now, the difference is obvious. You either have bad eyes or haven't actually used/seen a 4k screen IRL.

It is not his eyesight. We can definitely tell the difference. What I think we are speaking to is that 27" is just not enough real estate for an immersive "Ish" experience in 4k. Or, allow for more documents on one screen without a lot of each page off the screen causing scrolling in order to see the rest of the document, in a large enough font to reduce eye strain (Not eyesight issue but rather long term daily use/amount of hours used in a day).

Hope that helps

Not a fan of ASUS due to their terrible customer support, but if i were to buy anything they produce itd b their displays. However dell will stay #1 IMO for displays. But in regards to a gtx1080 being capable of driving this display, that depends on the game. I still havent played thru the episodes of half life 2, and a gtx1080 is overkill in that respect. But obviously there are plenty of games that a gtx1080 is insufficient.

I'm very tempted to get this.  It's just going to be weird going back to 16:9 from 21:9.  I'm definitely going to be getting two flagship Volta graphics cards to hit the highest framerates possible.  A single Titan XP is not good enough for what I want at 4K.

Sorry, but after gaming on a Asus P348Q for almost a year ...... you couldn't get me into a non-ultrawide monitor again.

No comparison to "regular" sized monitors.

Now if when the come out with a ultrawide 4K 100+hz monitor I might be interested.
