so one of two things either happens A: XOC will cut off my fan and the software still says its running (yet i know it's not bc suddenly my fan is silent and the temp is hitting 80c or B: the program just shuts down on its own and yeah games will start to lag and stutter from heat build up etc.

using the gtx 1070 SC on win7 ultimate 64bit. 

this gets quite frustrating b/c it will sometimes cause games to crash at inopportune times or scare me w/ the high temps and bad performance... also the rage.  So any ideas would be great.

Do you experience the same issues using msi afterburner?

cant say that I do or know because I never liked using that software, always been a fan of evga and precision's for the longest time. this is the only version I ever had a problem with.  

is there the old 16x versions still around to download? lol... maybe i can get the k boost option again if i find that too lol
