With X299 around the corner(Maybe?) I may just work on getting sli instead, but regardless what are some of the best ddr4 kits you guys have found? with a few hours of search i found some corsair vengeance (ewwww) 4x8Gb 3200mhz Cas 14?? Some pretty nice stats, so is there any better set for x99. Or would I be better off saving the money(x99) and getting another 1080 ti. I'm currently on a 3930k at 4.7, got these really tight dominator platinums 2133 c9 + a Rive mobo. should I get this ram to start the first piece towards my x99 build or should i try my luck st finding a 1080 ti waterblock lol https://www.amazon.com/gp...amp;smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

What are you doing with your PC ?
SLI for gaming is dependent on driver support
I'm a fan of GSkill RAM as Corsair demands a huge premium usually

I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I've used both Corsair and G.Skill ram over the years. Nothing negative to say about either. Both have good CS and warranties. You can find the same specs with either mfg'r. But I found that G.Skill is typically a bit less expensive with matching specs to Corsair.
My 2 cents...

Cool GTX I just game alot and use a multiscreen setuo:
G skill was the other brand I was even remotely interested in but had trouble finding a set as nice those, corsairs I linked. But I completely agree if you find two of the same specs sets buy the cheaper one from ether if these companies I've dealt with corsair before they where amazing, hassle free, no questions asked.

I will eventually upgrade to these. The only complaint's I've seen is folks having issues with the GSkill RGB software but other than that, they look amazing. I'm usually a Corsair guy and have been for many years but got tired of their premium pricing over everyone else while everyone else I think, has caught up to them finally in performance and quality.

The set in your link is quad channel, nice RAM. With Gskill, I have noticed the quad channel memory has a Q after the timing [c14], and dual has a D. Other manufacturer's use other part number system. I would actually like those you listed as an upgrade, I have eye-balled them quite a bit.

I paid $120 less for this exact set last summer than they're charging now for it on Newegg, but this is the exact set currently running in my x99 FTW K with i7 6900, and they work great. I'd love to pick up another set and go to 64gb, but not for $359.

You guys better check Micro Center prices. You would of saved over $175.00 on your purchase. I recently got a great deal on the EVGA DG87, EVGA 1300 GLOD PSU, EVGA X99 Classifies board, and 64GB of G Skill 3400 DDR4.

I concur, I always check Newegg then Micro and then AMAZON would be last choice just like tiger direct was in that order for me. And if for some reason Amazon fails.....* drags feet to Best Buy* LOL
