I was given a 1080FTW last week as a gift, the receipt etc is in my name & I have not registered the card yet. Can I step up from a 1080FTW to 1080TI. Thanks for your help.

So long as you're in Canada, the U.S., or Europe, you should be good to go. Get that card registered ASAP as that needs to happen within 14 days of purchase.

Once registered, you'll need to upload an invoice copy that shows the price paid for the card. You'll have 90 days from the purchase date to join the Step Up queue.

Also, the Founders Edition is the only 1080 Ti on offer at the moment. Presumably, EVGA will be adding their custom cooler 1080Ti at a later date.

If its not registered with in 14 days of purchase you may have to buy and extended warranty to be eligible for step up. since you got it last week the person who bought it for you may have got it even earlier but may you will luck out and it will be with in 14. also since you should have a while on step up timer left i would wait and see . as the after market cards should start showing up late march or early april, and hopefully we get a non blower fan added to step up
