My Powerlink arrived today, and my graphics card is a GTX 1080 SC2.  It uses one eight pin connector on the card.  The manual seems to imply I should plug two power supply cables into the card, even though my card only has one eight-pin connector.  Is that necessary? One of the benefits in my mid-tower case was that the 1080 uses one power cable, versus the two cables my previous GTX 970 SC used.

I kinda got the Powerlink to reduce the cable clutter in my case; not make more :D

Hello,

both connections from the PSU are not needed. Simply connect one 8 pin (6+2) to the top most modular connection on the powerlink.

For cards that use multiple 6+8 / 8+8 pin configurations it is required to have both power connectors installed.

"Top most"; do you mean the one closest to the curve/corner?

Thanks in advance!

Got it installed and seems to be working like a charm.
