So, here's the deal. I bought my GTX 1080 FTW on 8/16/16. I paid $735 + tax and shipping (CDW was the only one that had it in stock at the time, so I paid a little more...). That unit was RMAd recently. After the RMA, I signed up for the FTW2 upgrade. I haven't gotten the FTW2 yet.
So, here's my questions:
1) would I even be eligible based on the fact that my initial purchase was last August?
2) if I do qualify, what would be my purchase price? The original $735 for the first FTW or the MSRP of the FTW2?
Just wondering if I should be earmarking some funds for a potential FTW2 to FTW3 Step Up...

    1. If you upgrsde to thd icx ftw2, you should read the page at www.evga.com/icxupgrade. It explains that a new 90 day step up window opens, and you get a brand new card. Your original ourchase date no longer matters. The 90 day window starts from.the day the icx card ships.

    2. They stated the cost would be based off of the original price before the nvidia price drop. Why did you pay $735 for the first ftw? Usually the step up goes off of the original price paid, excluding taxes and other fees. Read more at www.evga.com/support/stepup

Last, the ftw3 wont be on the step up. Only reference pcb cards go on that list, unless there is an extremely special reason for it being there. As there is no reason for the ftw3 to be on there at this time, it is extremely unlikely it will be. You could go to the founders edition, blower style by evga, or acx/icx card.

But any 1080ti would be an upgrade to a non Ti, yes?

CDW was the only one to have it in stock and they are overpriced

The 1080ti is an "upgrade" but it goes through the step up program.
