Some people say Minecraft makes their GPU run hot, what temp is it getting up to in other games/benchmarks?..The
maximum GPU temperature for a GT 520 GPU is 102C..Make sure your PC case has good ventilation, you could remove the side panel to see if it matters.
Since a fan cooled GT 520 has only a 2-wire fan, fan control will not be possible using software (EVGA Precision, MSI Afterburner, etc.)..Fan control is done by the card's BIOS.
As suggested above, see if there's a V-Sync setting you can enable in the Minecraft settings or turn it to On in the NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Vertical Sync setting in the Global Settings tab which applies to all games, or in the Program Settings tab which only applies to selected individual games.
You might try uninstalling the Graphics Driver and components using
Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode (instructional video at the download location)..Then installing the
Graphics Driver again.
Just a few things here for now, replacing the TIM on the GPU chip
may need to come later.
