Hey guys. I'm having some issues getting the eSata port working on my motherboard. I updated to the latest driver from EVGA's support page. The driver installed is the Intel(R) ICH10R SATA AHCI Controller. The hard drive I have hooked up to it works fine and the cable I am using is brand new. The esata port is not on board, it's actually at the top front of my case. I believe that it is hooked up correctly. Any ideas what it could be?

The X58 SLI Micro doesnt have eSATA ports.  Are you trying to get eSATA to work off the regular SATA ports?  Have you set the SATA Controller to AHCI in the bios?

You are right. Crap, I could have sworn I read somewhere that it supported it. It's odd because the motherboard plate that comes with it has a spot for esata but there is no port on the board. I thought I could still utilize the ports that were in the front of my case though. Oh well. Thanks pcmaster

The plates are universal for all the x58 motherboard in that line.  You can theoretically get it to work with the SATA ports using a bracket, but you have to enable AHCI and cross your fingers.  Its not built for it but it can work.
