Without reading the article, I haven't seen anything to drive me off Win7 to have it.

But wait. 2.5 years ago, they swore we would be able to use nvidia and amd cards together. We could stack vram and get 48gb of vram with all the cool vrams that were coming out.
No.. that was all just smoke and mirrors to get people hyped up. Why did people forget about all of those lies?

Maybe if Microsoft allowed DX 12 for Windows 7 & 8 OS Users we could all move forward.

MS stopping support and forcing Win10 down our thoughts, DX12 looks more like ploy for Win10. Im hoping with AMD's Ryzen we still get Linux OS and Vulkan support.

Remember that AMD's Ryzen is a Windows 10 OS only CPU ATM.

I think that falls onto the developers to implement such features

Developers doing something to makes games run amazing for the buyer... maybe one day, but for now, I am going to stick to the part where it was all lies until someone actually does it.

Developers have this unending desire to add more and more features and graphical options to their games. Mostly at the behest of Nvidia and AMD. The engines are so overloaded now that nothing can really save them. Consoles based on PC hardware does not help this trend.
Only XBOX really pushes for directx 12 across the board and as long as the vast majority of gamers are on older versions of Windows there is no reason to break from Directx 11. I don't expect any true DirectX 12 titles for a few more years given the long development cycles.

Direct X9 and 10 were by far both the biggest jumps in terms of graphics IMHO

Dx12 won't be fully utilized for a few more years.
