Ok, so I have a GTX Titan 6GB that has a NZXT Kraken x41 and Kraken G10 bracket on it for better cooling. Basically, the card will stop displaying anything to any of my 3 monitors (DVI, DP, and HDMI->DVI) I thought it was a power issue, but this PSU is relatively new and is rated 80 plus platinum (Corsair HX1200i). Originally, I thought it was heat, but temps never reach 50C even under full load. I've stress tested with FurMark and Valley for several hours and neither caused a crash. However, games like Dark Souls and Overwatch do. I secondly, thought it was a windows error and the only one that I was able to find was: "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." however I've only seen it about twice even though the issue has happened several times now. Here are a few other specs: - I7 6700K (Stock) (Watercooled)
- 32 GB DDR4-3400 (Stock 2133)
- ASUS Z170-DELUXE (Latest BIOS)
- Corsair HX1200i (1200W)
I've stress tested all of the hardware several times and am HIGHLY doubting that it's anything other than the video card. (Though it could be a Windows issue as well). Something else to note (and this is what makes me know almost for certain that it's the GPU) is that stuff like spotify and discord will continue to work without any issues. Something that I don't know if it's relevant or not is that the card was purchased second hand on ebay a few years back. (I have the original GPU shroud). TL;DR: GPU stops displaying randomly in games, but not stress testing and the PC DOESN'T (?) shut down

Have you tried the card in a separate PCIE lane?

Try changing the PCI gen to GEN 2 in bios. Run your tests again to see if the card crashes.

Switched to PCI 2.0 and am still getting the issues.

Remove the g10, inspect that the entire core is covered properly woth TIM, clean the tim off, reapply, try again.
If there is a small air bubbles anywhere in the tim, part of the core may be over heating whole the temp sensor spot showing temperatures that are acceptable.

If your pc is shutting down it's definitely related to your psu, gpu or overheating hardware. How old is your relatively new psu? Have you tried underclocking the card fully on the core & memory using msi afterburner to see if it makes a difference in those two games? Have you tried using a different set of pci-e power cables to power the video card? How about using a different psu?

Check all cable connections to make sure they are secure, and try a different PSU to rule that out.

Replaced stock cooler, same issues Sajin If your pc is shutting down it's definitely related to your psu, gpu or overheating hardware. How old is your relatively new psu? I have underclocked it by 100MHz and had the same issues, all temps are staying below 50C, PSU is only a few months old, I have used different power cables (no difference), I don't have another PSU to test, though I would be highly skeptical that it would be the PSU over the GPU. XrayMan Check all cable connections to make sure they are secure, and try a different PSU to rule that out.
Already checked all cable connections (2-3 times now) and I don't have another PSU to test

Try underclocking the card fully on the core & memory using msi afterburner. Instructions on how to do it can be found here under #4.

I was finally able to get windows to produce an error code in event viewer: "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

Update on this: Reinstalled win10 (completely wiped the drive) and reinstalled all games/software/etc still getting the issue. Swapped out PSU cables and switched ports on the PSU (psu is modular), same issue. From what I can gather it's this same issue that I've seen multiple times on other forums as well: "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." the GPU, while undergoing several hours of gaming, hit a maximum temp of 73C. I have a feeling that I just have a bad card.

Unfortunately I also have issues with my two superclocked evga titans. I shouldn't have to underclock them and I already did underclock one of my own volition two years ago to prevent the same issue. Now the same thing is happening to the second one, it's really quite frustrating and so I understand your pain.

I see you have your factory overclocked RAM at stock settings. Make sure your X.M.P. profile is set in the BIOS. Those RAM sticks are supposed to run at those settings.

The RAM sticks are running at their advertised speed EDIT: Just to clarify, I tested at stock speeds and with them set via XMP
