 And the GTX Titan and Double Precision Setting Turned on.  WOW! is a start, 4 Minutes or Less to complete a task.

app_config.xml Files

Both Cards Run 10 Tasks Per GPU at about 99% of GPU Usage and 10% CPU Usage.
20 Total Tasks Running. A little over 5 Minutes to complete a task

<app_config>
   <app>
     <name>milkyway</name>
     <gpu_versions>
         <gpu_usage>0.1</gpu_usage>
         <cpu_usage>0.2</cpu_usage>
     </gpu_versions>
   </app>
   <app>
     <name>milkyway_separation__modified_fit</name>
     <gpu_versions>
         <gpu_usage>0.1</gpu_usage>
         <cpu_usage>0.2</cpu_usage>
     </gpu_versions>
   </app>
</app_config>

Card 1)  This one runs 5 Tasks Per GPU at about 60-70% of GPU Usage and 1% CPU Usage.
Card 2)  This one runs 4 Tasks Per GPU at about 60-70% of GPU Usage and 1% CPU Usage.
9 Total Tasks Running. 4 Minutes or Less to complete a task

<app_config>
   <app>
     <name>milkyway</name>
     <gpu_versions>
         <gpu_usage>0.2</gpu_usage>
         <cpu_usage>0.2</cpu_usage>
     </gpu_versions>
   </app>
   <app>
     <name>milkyway_separation__modified_fit</name>
     <gpu_versions>
         <gpu_usage>0.2</gpu_usage>
         <cpu_usage>0.2</cpu_usage>
     </gpu_versions>
   </app>
</app_config>

This applies only to the GTX Titan Graphics Cards that Support "Double Precision" I found that the newer Titans Do Not Support "Double Precision"

I have tested all the Other GPU BOINC and Even Folding Tasks and non can use the Double Precision Settings of a GTX Titan.

    There was a setting you had to turn on? I know my R9-280 did DP computing well and it did it on its own.
    Nothing to turn on, I think, mmmm ,maybe I can make my 280x even faster at genfer 21,22 and Milkyway?

    Yes under the NVIDIA Control Panel

    I never did get my AMD R9 290x to run this Program.

    That Titan has to be racking up some points w/9 WUs at once!
    Be cool to know which Nvidia cards have double precision.

    As far as I know Only the Titans and Titan Blacks have it, the Titan X is when they Dropped it for what ever reason I do not know.
    The Titan Z did have Double Precision.
    Maybe because of this "single-precision GPU for gaming" is faster and the GeForce Cards are Gaming Cards.

    I think the GTX780 and 780Ti could do DP. I think they gimped DP when they went to the next generation. they wanted to sell special "Work station" cards for DP
    The mainstream cards were to be for gammers.
    I think AMD gimped DP after the R9-290 to sll their workstation cards too, but I think they put it back in after a couple models.

    They dropped it because it was eating onto Quadro sales too much.

    This is the app_config.xml File I ended up with on my Titans With Double Precision Enabled.
    Starting to have to many Validation inconclusive with a Settings of 0.1 | 0.1 and even 0.2 | 0.2

    I think the DP cards with nVidia started with Fermi around the GT520/GT430 cards era. However AMD smoked them in DP with every generation. As mentioned above, nVidia started gimping DP in the non-Quadro cards even worse because of the markets. Most applications don't/can't use double precision. So, no incentive to cut into the Quadro markets.

    I cannot even run MilkyWay @ Home on my AMD Cards, at least I have never got my AMD 290X to run them.
    Well at least for now my Titans run ok.

    7970's were king for a very long time because of DP. I did not keep up if any cards dethroned them. I'm sure from a price point it's probably still up there.

    The original titan had the best DP at a 1:3, i think the later generations have 1:32 again, but at least they have that option.  I'm hoping the they bring back 1:3 DP in the next titan, its the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on a titan x myself =(.  It would just be nice to be able to do calculations on my gaming gpu when i'm not gaming, otherwise I have some k20/40's that will be dedicated to that once i install them.  I've started learning how to to do cuda programming to help with research at my university so they aren't relying on CPU only.  Doing it the hardway since we're too broke to afford FortranCuda compiler LOL.

    This is from a while ago, Bill you said " can't overclock the Titan with DP enabled.
    I have DP enabled and +145 with afterburner and the Titan is running around 1096 or so, just under 1100
    She is cranking out 8 tasks at 102% or so 277 seconds if I remember right  4:35.
