Hi I was Wondering if anyone new where i could pick up a 1070 super clocked back plate, I bought the card thinking it had one but when it arrived there was not one in the box.

It should be preinstalled on the card. Is the back a flat slab of aluminum?

oh, I have the Black Edition, completely missed that part... I bought my card from a online retailer that showed a picture of the card with a back plate but i guess it was just a stock image that got mixed up with both cards. Is there anywhere I can purchase the back plate separate?

I really wish they had them. If anyone knows of any aftermarkets that are compatible with minimal installation, you should post them. Ive got two of the same cards and I really dont like looking at exposed PCB and solder.

The only troubles I see with those are that they're 1) acrylic, so there's no heat dissipation through them, 2) they attach magnetically so there's no added support like with a screw-on backplate, and 3) I don't think they're authorised to use our logos for their products.

That's all well and good - but surely all these are also good reasons why EVGA should sell seperate backplates, instead of leaving your customers no option but to use third party products?

I agree! I just went looking for one on your site and am very disappointed. Don't complain unless you plan on giving us a product. I am also starting to get a bad vibe off of EVGA products as of late, a lot to be desired and missing things that you would assume are standard. You guys need to get your head back in the game!

I just bought a 1070 Ti SC ACX3.0 assuming it came with a backplate, but it didn't and now I'm having trouble finding one. Not sure why anyone would want the PCB and all of its components back there exposed without any protection, but you live, you learn. Still in the market for a proper backplate..

I see that v1Tech offers BackPlates for the EVGA GTX 1070 Ti SC Black Edition ACX 3.0 GPU Are these back plates acrylic? Also are these back plates attached to the back of the card with magnets? I wonder if it will still attach & sit on the back with thermal pads (inbetween) over the back vram circuits - this part of the card is well over 60 degree measuring with temperature gun. I currently have a 2500 RPM fan just sitting on the back of the card running full time to help bring the temps down coming of the vram back circuits. When I purchased this 1070Ti SC Black Edition I was also caught out as I had no idea that it comes with 'No back plate' & with fully exposed circuit board. hey!
im kinda late on this thread, but let's ask anyway:
is it possible to take any backplate from EVGA Nvidia 10 series and install it on another EVGA Nvidia 10 series?
does the screws slots will fit?
ex: 1060, 1070 and 1080?
I would cover my graphic card, so wondering if any "dead" card can be taken for the back plate only, and if any model would fit.

In response to the reason there are no separate backplates available is because they were only produced in quantity for the cards they came with. The SC Black Edition is a cost reduced model and part of that is they don't come with the backplate. Unfortunately, we just don't have stock of them to sell.
