I was about to upgrade to a ryzen 2600x but am on an extreme budget and really thought it would be awesome to upgrade from my 920 (@ 4ghz) to the x5650 (@ 4+ghz). This is for the sake of gaming. I can get the x5650 for $20 on ebay but have a big question concerning exactly what to do to mod my e760 rev 1.0. I see that you folks are pointing to two sets of solder points that need to be bridged. I am needing clarification as to whether the lower two points just need to be soldered together, or do i use resistors at any point? I can upload a picture of my mb and if you would be willing to simply circle the points that need to be soldered to keep it simple or can you just upload pictures of what you did to both sets on your boards? The diagram image that was uploaded is a little confusing. Any jumpers or resistors used in this mid or just simply bridging the two sets of points? Thank you very much. I appreciate your time and help.All you need to do is short these two points with solder. That is all. No resistors, just solder. So most of these mods that require moving one resister to the next, all you really have to do is short the 2nd one? You can leave the first in there? Or does it have to be opened? I might finally get to doing this on my x58 sli micro. For YOUR board, I would follow the directions for your board, not for the 760. Your board is Just so you know, these are not actually resistors. They are actually minature shorting bars with no resistance. So you could just desolder R460 and just use solder to bridge R461. Depends upon your dexterity.
