Primary Vid card is the GTX 950 SSC. It's suppose to support four monitors. All I want to use is two monitors. No, they aren't both the same size or resolution, but that's never prevented them both from working on vid cards that have either two DVI connections or a DVI and a DVI-D connection (like my GTX 660). DVI to VGA adapter used on DVI connector on GTX 950 SSC and connected to 24" monitor#1 (1920X1080). That works. Hooked up VGA to HDMI cable on 20" monitor#2 (1600X900) and I get no picture. I put my GTX 660 into SLI Slot number two on mainboard and hook up the 20" Monitor to that with a DVI-D cable and that gives me two displays- Display#1 on the GTX 950 and Display#2 on the GTX 660, but I'd prefer to use just the GTX 950 with two monitors connected to it. My question is, what combination of connectors will give me two displays when connected to the GTX 950, so I can pull the GTX 660 out? Do I need something like this-

    Welcome to the forums!

It sounds like an issue with the cable. Have you verified that it works on any other ports or monitors? The 660 should have an HDMI port if you want to test that cable's functionality.

should work. my 950 was conncected to a 24" via DP and a 22" via hdmi and worked fine. can you use hdmi on both or dvi on both? BTW i have seen issues with those dvi to hdmi cables when connecting the dvi end to the monitor

I can get it to work, but at only the same ratios, is there a way to display them on different ratios?

Do you mean resolutions? if yes then right click the desktop and select "display settings". there you should see both monitors labeled 1 and 2 click on 1 and change the settings to what you want, then click on 2 and change those settings. you may need to install the monitor .inf driver so windows knows what options to offer you.
