I think it's time to upgrade your CPU and Motherboard. Ram too.

I just OC'ed it to 4.3 Ghz, and installed a Noctua NH-d14, and it's way cooler than my old liquid Corsair h50:

Yeah I'm still liking the 920, It's playing my newest games AC Unity just fine at low-mid settings, Arkam knight I got bored of real quickly (sorry not a Bat Man fan). And hopefully BO3 wont be too much of an issue. Damn new games

Awesome!
920 was my first OC CPU, and I think I was spoiled b/c it OCed so well and EVGA members made it so easy to do.

I'm still on my stock i7-920 and GTX 1070. Though, I'm hoping to upgrade at least the CPU, MB and RAM when Alder Lake releases.

Probably, I would recommend upgrading to something newer.

yes a whole new system sounds great.!! I was looking into x5670 also but I feel quite suffice with this and 4.3Ghz isn't quite bad and I just spent on a new 9th and 10th gen system builds for my kids,
so no more $$ toys for me for a while. work/chores can't even get on my pc anyway...
Thanks for inputs.

I have a X-58 board with a Intel Xeon Processor W3690 unlocked easy peasy to get that to 4.2.
The 920 I had just 3.75 was rock solid then the 965EE I could get 4.2 with a little more V than
I liked. but it's all in hindsight sense you have a diff cpu now.
