It's kind of paradoxical seeing quite a lot of C2s available abroad whereas there seems to be a shortage in the US - the homeland of Intel. Meaning that more then 10 shops in Europe listing 3930Ks as immediately available ...
100% agree you speak the truth.... i had been thinking the EXACT same thing. Intel is an AMERICAN company why would these processors be available in any quantities abroad before being on all the USA websites?? newegg and amazon should have gotten perhaps 10,000 of these before any other region i am being serious... makes no sense to me at all.

Congratulation! Now Your are the second verified owner in this thread, as Your sticker is unbroken. And it's produced in Costa Rica. Mine was made in Malaysia which personally is not my favorite. APPROVED!  Besides: What are your sys specs? Which MB, memory,... is Your choice?

ASUS Sabertooth X79, 8 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600, 2 x 128GB M4 in RAID 0, 2 x GTX470 in SLI, Corsair HX1000W PSU.   I know the graphics cards are a bit old, but I'll reuse them from my old system until Nvidia readies their Kepler-based GTX680 (or whatever they end up naming them).

@Max, I haven't built my system yet. I have to do some benchmarks first on my existing system to compare the performance with the new system.
I see you have all parts new. Unlike you, I'll be reusing the PSU, the DVD drive and the case from my existing system.

I attached C2 3960X to FTW
BIOS is 25 of the first stages.
Coming in and setting to BIOS is possible.
It cannot boot.

I'm picking up the last CPU that Microcenter had here in Michigan tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be a C2. (I had issues with my other 3930k so i'll be getting it replaced and sell it sometime soon).

well i've given up... clearly they are only interested in marketing this thing to european countries and canada....
makes no sense whatsoever. imagine a german company which would only sell products to EVERY OTHER PART of the world... but would refuse to sell the product in germany itself.

A country where You are not able to watch southparkstudios.com due to copyright. Where You cannot listen to a lot of music on Youtube due to copyright. Not to mention a lot of blogs which are located meanwhile in the US. And no, it's not North Korea.

I almost did that...till a realised their is litelry no difference in the chip is the l3cach has 3 more mb's or something, not 400$ worth in my book at alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. the thing i think you should all be excited for is the xenon version of the 3930 and 3960x because the 2 extra cores on the dies WILL be active on that version and the SR3 from evga will of course require a xenon CPU, imagine 16 cores, 32 threads mwhahahaha. I can't believe i missed that asus tough line, i didn't know they made one in the 2011 socket, very ncie bored, but to much lagacy on on it, way ot much usb 2.0, and pci? ffs. the bored just isn't layed out well enough for me, i have allot of peripherals in my new build, 2 video cards planned, sound card,going back to wifi dual band wifi card, I\O panel is PCI-e x1. gonna be the most filled bored ive ever built, which is why i am going with the extended ATX asus rampage IV :D this sucks for me...the 3930k's where in stock last week when i put my build together in the newegg bin the day i did my taxes, just got my tax return today and now their out of stock EVERYWHERE. found 3 on ebay, and i dont even know if their c2 stepping.

it would be nice to see the highest stable oc on the C2's @ 1.4v which seems to be the stay under voltage for 7\24 for most people.
