After putting up with the random MV 91xx.sys BSOD issue on my board for about 3 months now, I have finally found an updated driver that works fine:

 (Bottom of page)

Only been running for 48hrs but have rebooted about 30 times with a failed nvidia diver install and removal etc and no issues.

Link also contains firmware updates, but I didnt bother with that.

EDIT: Stupid forum rules prevent me from posting links, driver version is 1.2.0.1006 WHQL certified, Google or PM me if you need the drivers...

I'd like to hear from others if this shows better performance

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Yes any word on performance? I reverted to using the intel chipset for my Force GT to avoid the random BSOD's and seeing it only get half the performance its rated for is depressing.

In regards to performance, I have noticed on boot I am getting faster loading of start-up items and gadgets in win7.

I didn't really benchmark the drives before but I'd say from the feel probably about a 20% increase in real world speed - but I am only using SATA2 Vertex 2's - cant comment on SATA3.

Is anyone else having trouble with the 1.2.0.1006 driver? I just had my second BSOD in the last 2 weeks with a corsair force 3 120gb ssd. The marvell controller couldn't find the ssd but the intel controller finds it no problems.

I also have a Seagate barracuda 1.5tb sata 3 on the marvell controller which is still showing up.

I just tested this out. The score better but for sat3 still seems slow. The ssds are Intel 510 Series
    Heres a pic.

My product number is from a batch made with version 1.3 firmware already installed. This was after corsair recalled the force 3 series with the previous version. I guess the sandforce/marvell match was doomed from the start. I'll just leave it on the sata 2 controller and pick up another for an array.

Is the Z68 chipset the only one with sata 3 included?

    hello

    stats:
    win7 ultimate
    990x
    24gb ram
    intel 510 250gb ssd
    x58 classified 3 - updated to bios 3

just a query (sorry it's very basic). my win7 has issues detecting the marvel 91xx chipset...

the ssd is working fine, but i'm not sure i'm getting MAX performance out of it. it's stable (so far), and i'm not running raid.  etc. i have put the bios to ahpi settings (from ide prevously).

should i be downloading the drivers above? are they likely to help, or should i be going for another driver download?

    thank you

You will never get true SATA III performance out of the Marvell controller, it is simply incapable of it.

ok, but as it's undetected in win7 (ie device manager showing a query next to it, but unable to find the correct driver) - which drver should i be installing?

    thanks

Installed these drivers over the ones listed on evga's download site a very slight increase in speed, reads about 10mb/s and writes around 3-5mb/s with atto on a vertex3

An update on my Corsair Force 3 situation: I simply bought Rosewill 10" SATA III cables for both SSD's. They replaced the 16" or so generic ones that came with the mobo. That was months ago and not one BSOD since.

Bottom area of page, 1.2.0.1032 is the latest, but I had trouble with that one, it borked my DVD driver since it's the only thing attached to the marvell controller....   1.2.0.1027 is the best driver in my opinion....
