I've swapped and upgraded many components in my PC over the years... heck, last year I did a completely new build, except for one thing - my EVGA 1000 P2. I just checked my product page and holy cow, it's been running since October 2013! As far as I can tell it's still going great. I even ran it on the ragged edge for a couple years with custom BIOS liquid cooled Titan Xp's in SLI. But surely it won't live forever. EVGA has some pretty solid deals going on right now, so I did a bit of research last night into what has changed in the PSU world in the last decade... and apparently not much! I almost jumped on the P+, but started seeing complaints of coil whine. Then I considered the P3, but saw that EVGA has shaken up which OEM builds their PSUs several times since the days of the P2, and not everyone was happy to see that. So I'm starting to think, why change up a good thing?

I just ordered a 1200 P2 for $160. Seems like the stock of the P2 line is slowly selling off, and I'd better jump on it while they're still around. I'll probably just keep it in the box until the 4000 series releases and upgrade both at the same time. Anyone think I should go a different route?
