Guru3d just put out a benchmark performance review for Far Cry 5 testing close to 30 cards. Review can be found HERE
Looks like the game scales really well with a wide variety of GPUs. I am very exited to read full game reviews, as I will be picking up soon! It's refreshing to see a finished game finally come out, not just another early access pile of trash. Not to mention Far Cry 5 looks beautiful! even on console.

AMD game partner history is simply deplorable and a great warning to stay away. Can’t wait for worth a buy’s legit review.

Meh. Bought it on steam. Played about 2 hours. The graphics are nice and it runs quite well (80-100FPS on my 1080Ti @ 3440x1440)...but honestly its just the same recycled gameplay as Far Cry 3 / 4. I got bored very fast. Just submitted my refund request.

Watches EVGA's youtube gameplay video. Icons all over the UI indicating where enemies are and where to go. Basically the game plays itself. Zero thought required from the player.

Yep, nothing about the game has really changed from what I can remember. If anything, the setting/environment is more boring tbh. I enjoyed the mountains of Kryat better than this hicktown setting in Montana.

    Far Cry 3 was refreshing.

Far Cry 4 was a nice continuation of that.

Now the style is stale and Far Cry 5 just does the same old thing.

Held off on getting this at launch(cause I recently just finished Far Cry 4), and from reading PC Gamer's review and seeing others opinions I'm glad I did.

I was hoping for better reviews. Sort of a let down.

Friends of mine on Xbox are singing praises for Far Cry 5. I've seen a number of my Steam contacts playing it, as well. So it may not be quite as bad as that short (but appropriately to-the-point) review might lead you to believe. I don't own it yet, myself, due to the fact that I prefer to wait for a game to hit a sale in order to allow a patch or two to release before I play. I'm generally tired of the half-baked nonsense that tends to hit our consoles and PCs in the gaming world. I'll only pay full price when "I simply must have that" overrides my usual caution/reluctance.

Having watched my buddy who is staying with us, play this on his Xbox, I've fully decided to wait until it goes on sale to pickup. I think what fearpoint said was a fun fact about Far Cry now days, it's simply too easy. But on topic, even on Xbox One, this game looks & plays pretty darn good! I'd love to see this fired up on my 2k panel with maxed settings! Aside from draw distance really, Far Cry 5 looks better even on console! then most recently released titles on PC in the past few years.  Back slightly off topic, I do find the story very........Meh'ish. But then again Far Cry series has always had very strange story & dialog, but usually understandable given being stranded on islands with entirely different cultures(s). To be honest, the story in Far Cry 5 is what is killing it for me lol.

I have played about 5 hours now and am really liking it. The game play it self is mostly the same, yea but I think find it quite enjoyable as is and doesn't need to be fixed and the added melee is fun. I turn off the enemy markers and up the difficulty to curb that easy feeling. In my opinion the big reason i love this game is the game world and characters. It feels like a world you are helping save rather than being the "chosen one" with everyone by your side ready to fight with you. The fact that story missions are not handed to you but rather the game encourages and rewards exploration feels great. Idk how to explain it perfectly, it just feels more full, meaningful and lively.

Its still a fun game. Its more of the same, but thats not always a bad thing. It still has a lot of pew pew and boom boom.

I'd say get it if you are on the fence, but maybe wait for the steam spring sale or the summer sale and get it for $45.

I'm having an awesome time with this game. Yes it's the Farcry play style but feels more polished with the environment and AI interaction.
The graphics are amazing, truly where this game shines...I didn't think I was going to be a fan of the location setting but it really grows on you...where else can you fish for rainbow trout and sell for loot!
I give the game a thumbs up.

It's probably a fun game for those who didn't play the first four.     ;)
