So whenever I play a game that uses a lot of my GPU like Doom Eternal, or Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville, my fans get super loud for a couple seconds and then it goes back to normal speeds. If I keep playing the game after this, it just repeats every 30 seconds. It random and not set on when it does it but it usually repeats after the same amount of time. I have tried setting a fan curve in the evga x1 software but that doesn't help either. I am not sure what to do as I cannot find anywhere on what to do.

Double-clicking inside the Fan Curve Editor in Precision (or MSI Afterburner) to change it from a curve to steppings might help, or increasing the Fan Speed Update Period to maybe 5000ms (5 seconds) or so, or increase the Temperature Hysteresis a few degrees..See if any of that helps or not.

You can delete fan setpoints by clicking on them and pressing the keyboard Del key..You can add setpoints by clicking anywhere on the fan speed line.

You should post exactly what card you have if you continue to have problems.

I am using an RTX 2070. After trying the things you've said, it's still having the problem. I am not sure what to put for the hysteresis as I am not really sure what that is. Right now it's at 0c because I've never changed it before. Is there any other things I should try? And what do you suggest on what to put the hysteresis temp?

There's lots of RTX 2070 models, which one?..If it's one that has a double VBIOS, slide the little switch near the PCIe power connectors to the other position and restart your PC..Then see how it works.

Hysteresis is delay on the fan speed downside..So like if you set 70% fan speed at 60C with a 5C hysteresis, the fan will still spin up to 70% at 60C but won't start spinning down until 55C.

The fan speed should follow whatever you have it set to in Precision.

I would uninstall Precision X1 and see how it works without any software/fan control intervention..If it still acts wonky, the fan controller or a temperature sensor is likely bad..Contact EVGA Cutomer Service about an RMA or any questions you might have for them.
