Hey, quick question about the 8-pin power connectors.
I'm using a dual 6+2 for two of the 8-pins & another 6+2 for the third. Is there any benefit to running three separate power cables instead of two?
I'm just running the stock power cables for the moment, going to get some braided cables when there is stock.

I managed to get +350 on the memory & +120 on the clock. That usually gets me a bit over 2100MHz. I downloaded the XOC BIOS, but I wasn't able to achieve any higher clocks.

Nice rig. On the FTW3 running one cable off a splitter is fine (2 separate) and having 3 separate cables won't really make a difference, however, as many separate cables as possible is TECHNICALLY more ideal. Personally I would run 3 separate if your PSU supported it.

Running 3 separate cables is more safe.

I see 0 reason to not run 3.  Your power supply should have come with 3-6 of them and if it didn't you can get one for a couple dollars.

Yes. You need to be using three separate cables. Need.

Each connector will draw roughly 140 watts, only pulling about 30 from the slot on the OC bios. That means one cable is supplying 280 watts, which is not ideal. You’ll probably see better performance but really your power supply will thank you. There is a reason why they put three connectors, it’s to balance the power draw and stay under 150watts per connector.

Mileage may vary, but I am able to clock +900mem and +145 core. Just for example.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try squeezing in a third cable.

Depends on the PSU. I would put each on their own rail.
