With buying bracket for 2-slot conversion (M022-10-000138) and buying an original cooler meant for 2-slot GPUs (lower tier GPUs) => Is conversion for 2080Ti FTW3 down to 2 slots possible?

Asking because I intend to put this card inside an SFF build.

I did this with my 2070S FTW3 Ultra+, I bought the 2 slot bracket off the EVGA store took 2 days from California to Toronto. I had to remove roughly 7-8 screws from the back and another 2 on the metal back plate. 1 on the back plate has a nut, make sure it doesn't drop into the GPU, take your time and BE GENTLE! Took me 5 minutes with a smaller Phillips screw driver to do the swap... and another 1.5 hours to install into p300a. It's like parallel parking a pick truck down town in a go kart sized parking spot.

For the Internets who want to know: any EVGA 2.75 slot GPU will not work with the Phanteks Vertical GPU Kit Product Code : PH-VGPUKT_01/2 without the 2 slot bracket. Unless you start modding - which I wouldn't do.

I also want to swap the cooler for a 2-slot cooler. You think something from the XC/Black series of card will work?

Issue is that I need to find a cooler for the card now :|

The 2 slot bracket is not meant to reduce the total real estate of the card to be mounted in a case. The bracket in question is for waterblocks. Attempting to install this with the air cooler will result in the bracket hitting the GPU shroud.
