I've always got EVGA cards and registered them. I'm not Elite Member. I have my 580 and my 980 registered but they don't count.
You only need 100 posts on the forum to qualify

I think this could go a ways at combating the bots, at least a portion of the total % can be sectioned off for elite members. I doubt it would go down well with the greater community though, but stock is so limited right now.

Does elite status last forever after registering two products? I just registered 3 PSUs and 2 from the past year for elite, wondering if it will stay.

this is why they should really consider adding an account age requirement. At least a month, before the 3080 release, would be all you need.

Torn on this... overall I think they just need to add better measures for the normal customers, but they also seem to be working on that, it will help them for future releases too.

Agreed. handle the same as the 3090s with two stock piles, one for Elite and one for the non-Elite. And if the Elite doesn't sell out in an hour or so, add it to the non-elite pile.

Once you become an ELITE member, you remain an ELITE member. I suppose you could ask us to remove your membership after the fact, but why?

Dude, you register any of those qualifying cards listed in their faq and you're insta elite. I bought a 2060 KO yesterday from best buy for step up and I was surprised that I was eligible for elite status. They should be able to.monitor how many elite members there are filter by original entered address of each customer and limit to those numbers for their "loyal" customers. If in the even those numbers do not sell at the given time frame they choose they can move the excess over to regular purchase. I doubt they have tons of elite members.

It's only for their listed model in option 1.
I have products dating back to 2008 in my registration list. The only thing that qualifies me is my 1080 TI kingpin which I purchased brand new from launch. You can't honestly expect everything you purchase to qualify you as an elite member. That would just be unrealistic.
