This is very disappointing. Their excellent warranty service is one the main reasons EVGA is my go-to for PSU's and GPU's.  Though I only purchased one extended warranty in past my intention was to do it for these much more expensive 30 series cards.  I missed the cut off date for one but still had two weeks left on my 3080 TI Hybrid.  Also shocked to see how much the price increased!  I use my GPU's for 3D network rendering so as long as an older card is support by OS and program it can still be useful.  But this outrageous cost now has me reconsidering and I will most likely not purchase the extended warranty and be more open to other vendors in the future.

Same the only reason I go with EGVA is the warranty. I do keep my cards a long time. The new prices are not that appealing and they keep shortening the warranty period. From life time to 10 years and now 7 years. They are heading in the wrong direction. I hope their customer service does not go down the drain.

Would be curious to know what the extended warranty prices are for other AIBs.
For that matter, what's the MSRP + extended warranty cost compared to other AIBs.
I'll just wait patiently, shall I?

I went to register my 3080 Ti FTW3 HC today and add a 10 year extended warranty (I was waiting for my new years bonus). It's now gone from $60 for a 10 year warranty to $240 for a 7 year warranty...... I don't recall seeing this price hike being announced anywhere in advance. I wanted to warranty this card to pass on to my kids when I upgrade. It's very hard to get good value out of used waterblocked cards on the used market.

It wasn’t announced anywhere in advance. EVGA has always listed that the extended warranty terms and conditions can change without notice, and after so many years without any changes, EVGA made a change to the extended warranty terms.

Where did they list that it could change without notice?  I referenced an archived version of the page online because I do not remember seeing this language before and it is not there in the original text.

It's not about the actual pricing of the new plans going forward, it's about the way they went about this.  Many customers had purchased products which qualified for extended warranties and were told by EVGA at the time they purchased them that they had 90 days to purchase the warranties at the listed terms.  Then, without warning, they changed those terms overnight and retroactively claim they can do so without notice.  Furthermore, they have added language that they can CANCEL a customer's warranty for any or NO reason at all???  Why would anyone purchase a warranty anyway under such terms, although I doubt it is legal, especially under California law under which EVGA is incorporated.

The whole thing is a matter of trust between EVGA and their customers.  They should honor the old terms on products purchased before the change.

Glad I got my 3090 10 year at $60.

Same, my 3090 will be a solid card for the next few years most likely. This 4x increase is a little crazy! They must be seeing a lot of RMA's to require it. My plan is to probably drop this card down to my kiddo when the 4xxx series cards come out.

Glad I grabbed the 10 year in my KPE when I had the chance. Not paying this new inflated price for my 3080ti so looks like I get to scalp it.
