Hello all
I'm new to this forum
I'm putting together a new build with x299 dark, I9 10900x
G.SKILL Trident Z RGB Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16Q-64GTZRC
Samsung - 970 EVO Plus 1TB
DG-86
EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 TI FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING
EVGA CLC 240mm All-In-One RGB LED CPU Liquid Cooler
My question is I want to add some RGB to this system and was wondering what controller and software to run to control with all the lighting?

Will need a extra fans controller to control led lighting effects?
    i was think of:
    Coolmaster MFY-RCSN-NNUDK-R1
    Corsair comander pro
or will the eva software do it?

That all software included fans controller and led lighting for EVGA Hardware only.

For Coolmaster or Corsair maybe you can add for led for case and led fans!!!
    It upto you...

I use two Corsair Commander Pros in my build to control my fans and while I dont use it for this you can also control DRGB lights with it as well. You just have to be careful as Corsair uses a proprietary connect for the DRGB lights... Meaning that if you want to use non Corsair branded DRGB lights you will have to purchase homemade connectors, there is a guy that is selling them on EBAY that is highly recommended over on Reddit, https://www.ebay.com/sch/piratedog_tech/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

Would I plug the commander pros into fan hub on the case or pwm header on the motherboard?

    Sorry for the delay.

No. You would plug the Commander Pro into one of the USB 2.0 HUB Ports on the motherboard and than connect all of the fans directly to the Commander Pro. With this setup you would no longer be using the EVGA software to control the fans or the lights... the Corsair iCue software would be controlling the lights and the fans. Which to be honest is a lot better than the EVGA software, especially when it comes to the X299 Dark...

Thanks for the info Guys (didn't think lighting could be just a pain)
I decided to go with Phanteks Halos Digital RGB Fan Frames and there Digital RGB LED Starter Kit. That way I can keep the EVGA fans (don't want to spend another $300 on fans)in the DG-86 case controlled by EVGA software and lighting by the Phanteks controller w/remote control. But if I can connect Halo's to Corsairs controller and not use Phanteks, I would be able to control  them through software. Do you know of a adapter to do that?
Anyways I just started my build and came to a instance hold. I found out my new X299 dark motherboard from EVGA did not come with the right Bios for my Intel I 9 10900x processor, so now I have to wait for new bios chip.
If I ever get it together it will have:
     Intel® Core™ i9-10900X X-series Processor
    EVGA X299 DARK Motherboard
EVGA CLC 240mm All-In-One RGB LED CPU Liquid Cooler
    G.SKILL Trident Z RGB Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16Q-64GTZRC
    EVGA DG-86 case
EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 TI FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING
    EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2, 80+ PLATINUM 1200W
49" CRG9 Dual QHD Curved QLED Gaming Monitor
