Been here before, system runs good. but on an occasional bootups, I get an FF eror code.
System is stable all the time and with cpu at 4800 and ram at 4000mhz , all system tests
pass . but once in a great while, system boots with FF code. but when I flip ps switch, and
turn back on system, its fine.
specs :
1000RM ps
7820 cpu
dominator pro rgb 3600
rtx 2070 Super FTW

The board isn't 100% happy with your overcclocks.

4800mhz with a skylake x cpu idle at 37c max at 70+c load isn't that stressful on board. very
achievable for this board. all aida64 runs are fine, and cinabench runs are good, so what gives?

It's most likely related to your memory overclock. The imc on the 7820 is only rated at 2666 MHz, and you're running it at 4000.

I do remember buildzoid saying that hitting 4000 with a bit of vcore would be a luck of the draw sincethis
ram defailts at 3600 16 18 36 when I am doing 4000 at 16cas. but aida passed all mem tests.

Passing all mem tests is one thing. Having an imc that doesn't like booting at 4000 is another.

Very true. Had seen this with the x58 and the 980x. did 1866 fine, but 2133 was rough and sometimes wouldn't boot.
Folks around here say 4000 is overkill, and that intel cpu's even with mesh platforms like HEDT won't seen gains from
these speeds. however I am loving scores in a lot of benchmarks. but what would be a nice setting in voltages to force inc to
    love the 4000?

All you can really do is try to adjust your uncore, vdimm, & memory training voltages to higher voltages to see if it might help stabilize cold boots. All the voltage in the world though may not help at all.

Doesn't look like the bios has a dram training voltage option. You'll just need to use uncore, vdimm & vccio.
