Yep was in love with that movie.  Showed it to everyone.  It's the soundtrack that is all that makes me cringe.  I wish it could be removed somehow.

There are probably a few, but one that sticks out for me is "Transformers: The Movie" (the animated version from the '80s, not the recent live action ones). I loved that movie when I was I kid, but out of nostalgia, I watched it again 25+ years later, and man, is it terrible.

I think back on the horror movies. What was scary and or gave me nightmares when they first came out just look so corny watching them decades later.

A lot of it has to do with the tone of society in general. What was seen as fun, campy and enjoyable back then is now seen a political, cynical and angry now. Society is broken right now because of certain bad behavior by role models people now have.

Any super old action flick or something of that sort. The acting is so bad that you wonder how you thought those movies were fun as a kid. The same with extremely bad visuals like the old star trek.

Even Space Odyssey seemed 10x more impressive originally.

I can never get over how darn good Alien still looks despite being filmed in what, 1979 or something like that. Still as badass as ever.

Days of Thunder was awesome when I was I kid. I don’t know why, I didn’t know anyone who watched NASCAR at that time. Man, that movie is horrible now.

Practical effects, man. They generally age much, much more gracefully than any competing special effects.

Many of them don't hold up.  I will say that Fast Times at Ridgemont High is just as funny today as it was decades ago.

Ferris Buller's Day Off still is a masterpiece. Most of the stuff from the 80's are still phenomenal.

Bushwhacked. I watched it again last year and as a 33 year old I shut it off. It's just a kids movie. I remembered it being a lot better.

This, how did I ever enjoy such bad action movies?!? thank you HBO for starting the trend towards great TV, now I have no interest in movies.

I can't think of anything particular however Home Alone now that I'm grown up makes me laugh harder then I ever did as a kid. Some of the traps are brutal, they should be dead.

Star Wars didn't hold up at all to what I remember as a kid. I rewatched the OT a few months ago on VHS and now Jedi is my favorite, I'd have kicked my own ass as a kid for thinking that.

Surprisingly Shrek holds up better as an adult. I saw it in theaters when it came out and my parents hated it, I wasn't allowed to watch it at friend's houses lol. Last year my local theater was doing retro showings to stay open, they were doing Shrek so me and the boys snuck some beers in and it was way funnier than it has any right to be.
