Super Mario Bros. I was young enough to be confused about why it was nothing like the game but it was still a fun movie. Now I'm just.....wat?

Happened to me when I watched Howard the Duck. Oof, way better as a child.

I just watched Back to the Future again. Expected to feel this way, but was pleasantly surprised by how well it holds up.

The most off-putting parts were the ways in which gender roles and approach to abuse have shifted. That date rape is essentially treated as a joke and a plot device is pretty shocking from a contemporary perspective - a character is essentially raped in a parking lot, then having their first kiss with their lifelong love twenty minutes later.

Not a movie, but I tried watching the original animated x-men and I was truly disappointed. I had to stop watching to preserve my wonderful childhood memories of the show on Saturday morning cartoons.

Kelly's Heroes for me. Loved that movie as a kid. Tried to show it to people as an adult. Not as funny as I remembered it. Still enjoy it though.

Watched Napoleon Dynamite this weekend. I used to think it was hilarious but now I just felt uncomfortable.

the covenant, I tried rewatching this and the acting and effects are so bad. I really wish I hadn't even tried. completely ruined my nostalgia for the movie.

Ninja Turtles 2.  I had every line memorized (probably still have most of it) and would watch it every day.  But it's a preeeetty bad movie.  TMNT 1 is actually still good to this day, but not 2.

When I was a kid I used to watch this movie called "The Descent" that was on Cable TV. I was so scared that I switched channels a few times.

Fast forward to Halloween in college and me I decide to watch it again in college with my friends...... It was so bad......

Oof, yeah... I don't even think the story is that bad. Lucas is just a bad director now (or then).

Labyrinth. David Bowie & Jennifer Connelly. Loved it growing up, watching it now all I can do is cringe with just how weird it is.

I still love those old British comedies, like Lock stock and Snatch.

Good old times.
