So my EVGA GTX 970 SSC was working fine up until yesterday.  Then I kept on getting error code 43.  I tried all the methods on found on the internet and forum.  It works for 1 boot and then goes back to error code 43 until today.  It just shows error code 43 in the device manager.   I swapped my GTX 970 SSC with an old EVGA GTX 660 and no problems on multiple boots and restarts.   I finally found a bios switch on the 970 SSC and moved it to position 2 so far it works perfectly.  What is the difference between BIOS 1 and BIOS 2?  Also should I RMA the Card?

    Welcome to the Forum satanaki
Power Off and Unplug your Power Cords.
Wait for all your MB LEDs to tune Off.
Change the Bios Back to 1
Plug back in all your Power Cords and Power On.
Test to see if it now works.
If it Fails ask EVGA through a Support Ticket for a Bios File to re-flash Bios 1.
If the Card fails after this then you may want to request an RMA, you can use the Support Ticket Number from the above to Open an RMA.

Master BIOS = Lower power target, less aggressive fan curve, fans off below 60c.
Slave BIOS = Higher power target, more aggressive fan curve, fans always on below 60c.

Should you rma the card? Nah. Just reflash the master vbios like bcav said.
