So, us "Elites" are probably all wondering... Is the May 22nd shipping date still an "Estimate"? Or does EVGA see this to be a reality? Last weekend to wait, we hope.

We haven't heard any updates since and it wasn't mentioned at all in yesterday's podcast. Since they're closed for the weekend, we'll all have to wait for Monday to find out. To my knowledge, nobody has been charged for their preorders yet, either.

Hope they are able to start shipping on Monday. I was charge for the G card when they called to verify my pre-order on May 2nd.

I had to change the shipping address since I was going to be away on vacation when it shipped, so I think they just called to make sure there was nothing fishy going on (which is nice that they checked).

Hmm... I never received a call, well about the elite version that is. I did receive a call regarding my pre-order on an FTW3 prior to them opening up the elite program. the call was to verify my address. Maybe that's all they need, eh?

Some credit cards hold the amount to be charged in limbo until the actual charge. My card has shown a reduced available balance since the original preorder. It didn't adjust to the new higher priced elite card though.

We plan to start charging and shipping the first orders on Monday. Some of the later orders may need to ship within a couple of days. Will have full updates on Monday.

I had both the full price charge and the $1 amount listed as pending the same day of the order and shortly afterward the $1 validation went away and the full charge posted. I figured this was normal and was part of the "build to order" approach for these custom cards?

When I look at my order preorder status of the FTW3 Elite, there is written: "Waiting to Process" (probably since 15 days or more). Is this a mistake or is this "normal"? The card was already payed on the 3rd of May via Paypal. Hoping to get it this week.

Well I preordered my cards on march 29th and upgraded to elite versions as soon as it was available, a d I'm yet to be charged a penny, I really wish there was some more communication regarding all of this.

It sure does, the blue is different too. I was considering the Red models to match the "Republic of Gamers Red"™ of my case, which resembles the red of the mockup originally posted. What's pictured here is straight up 255,0,0 red, which is....something else. EDIT: Here's a link to the original mockups.
