Correct. The new language around the spin now excludes GPUs. Spins that occurred prior to the change (which was apparently made last week) look to be grandfathered in.

Coupon code not valid for graphic cards?
So i finally spun the wheel and got a 5% coupon. I says not valid for graphic cards.
Also won't let me use it on checkout. Is this new?
Contact EVGA; I've not heard that codes can't be used fore GPUs. Was definitely possible before. Customer support has been pretty good at working out coupon code issues.
Looks like the Elite Spin to save has changed. I have held off on spinning till I received my notify for the card I want, as I read the terms and seen it was only good for 90 days.
The picture now has it in brackets "Excluding Graphics cards"
Unsure if I can post links, but here is a imgur link if it works.

No, it is deduction based on several anecdotal reports of folks who previously spun who have reported being able to use the code today, folks who were waiting to spin (who now report the "no gpu" language on the spin page) and folks who spun in the last few days who have been prevented from using the code for a GPU purchase....

Its all about the money. EVGA is just doing what they can to make as much as possible like any other company would. Although they could give those who have been Waiting for almost a year now at least 5 percent discount. I guess they didn't make enough profit with those thousands of cards they sold right off the dock by the pallet to all those miners and scalpers the past few months.

tshalevYou're probably right. Not sure if they could get away with selling refurbished cards as new. They have to give you a new card even if you RMA within 30 days, right? Right. And for Step-Ups too - only new cards.

It's not really your fault. EVGA aggressively promoted the Elite program and offered a potential % discount off *any* product. They then had an inrush of new Elite members redeeming these coupons on expensive GPUs, and who can really blame them, especially given the current market. I'll bet anything more than 18% off would probably make these GPU's a net-negative transaction for EVGA so I'm not surprised they cut the GPUs from the coupon.

Well, $1086 for the subtotal right? Not for the final price (with tax and shipping).
Correct. After tax and shipping it was $1203.39, equivalent to the retail price of the XC3 & FE cards. I think the only way to get a better deal would have been if I had spun a 30% coupon on the wheel. I will be selling a Zotac 3080 amp holo to break even on the upgrade.

I think if you add it to cart, then delete it from your cart, it will release the card back into the queue.
Once you receive the notify, it's reserved for you for 8 hours. If you don't buy it, it goes back into the queue the next business day. I have toyed around with a card in my cart before, removed it, clicked the link again; it remains available to you until your 8 hours are up.

You cannot remove a notify once it has been set to yes.
