Just skimming the thread, but it seems that people who ordered at 6 AM (myself and others) for the 3070 are actually behind in the queue? Is this true?

Celeras Seems pretty obvious to me. The reason the queue system was so effective the first time around is because nobody knew. You know who was waiting at 6AM for the pages to go up? Bots and scalpers. Know who was gone by 6:01AM? Bots and scalpers. Know who was browsing the site organically and stumbling upon a launch edition sku nobody knew about? Actual customers. I love it.
Biggest load of bull ever... 1st. You need to have an email address registered to an evga account. 2nd. you then need to go through the e-mail to purchase the card which is limited to one per evga account. There wasn't much threat of bots or scalpers for those reasons. EVGA screwed the pooch, and this was after we gave them so much praise for a queue system that helped weed out bots and scalpers. And you are a to imply anyone who showed up at 6am isn't an actual customer... I have products registered going back more than 8 years and have been hunting for a 30's series EVGA card for almost 2 months, I'd call that an "Actual customer"

Yeah, well, you all have fun with your no-backplate launch edition cards, while I wait for the real SKUs to start shipping. :)

Yes you are... they created a launch sku that went up around 6:05 am and those are the ones being honored first. If you signed up at 6:00 for a non launch sku you won't get one until they start fulfilling that sku/queue. We don't know when that will be though

Says I'm already in the queue so I think I'm good and I hope that I will be able to grab one so I can actually start playing in 4K with decent frames.

MrMichaelJames Sure but they really don't owe you any information. They surely aren't going to discuss how they push things out to their website nor are they going to discuss any problems they encounter. In reality EVGA doesn't owe anyone anything here unless you have given them money to purchase a product, everything else is simply good will. You can take it or leave it. It really is your choice. I'm looking at it from a company point of view. If people are just upset because someone might get a card a few days before someone else then sorry, but that isn't something to get all bent out of shape over. Its not a kidney.
Not saying they owe anyone anything, but it would be nice to know why, at this point, I have no AUTO-NOTIFY button for the Launch Edition SKU. It's still not there, hours after launch. Not that I want to buy that card, but it would be nice to at least have the option. I've tried Firefox, Chrome, Safari...nothing works.

I haven't seen any at all today. Only a few this week. While they claimed it was going to ramp up it seems to have slowed to a crawl instead. When are we going to see decent sized shipments of 3090s? EDIT: I looked at Jacobs twitter and I guess a few did go out today He says more later or tomorrow. Not sure how much a few is though. I don't see auto-notify either which makes me think that they have collected the max amount they are going to sell and that's it.

A tweet earlier this AM, Jacob said they they should all start going out in the next few days. So maybe some tomorrow, then starting out on Monday (Dont think they do anything over the weekend.).

I can attest that I saw the same thing regarding the Launch Edition. When it went up at no time did I see the auto-notify option come up. It just appeared and a few hours later showed as out of stock. EVGA F'd the dog on that one.

I did manage to get on the 3070 Launch notify list. I think it was a nice gesture as they knew bots would flood the 6:00 cards without much chance of regulars like myself getting one quickly. I tried the Canadian retailers with zero luck even seeing one in stock so I'm glad I checked the evga list 5 minutes later!

I know I am going to regret saying this, but does the collective want me to write a quick website to replace the google drive? It seems like it's getting difficult to manage and will be needed for quite some time.

LOL everything's a conspiracy. my impression was that someone launched the "wrong" sku first. these things are run by people and people sometimes make mistakes. the KL was probably meant to go up first, someone had an "oh shi..." moment and quickly tried to fix it. just my opinion based on the fact that the page was there, then gone, then launch showed up, then back up again. right around 6am, the normal KR page(s) showed up. then they disappeared again, and the KL page showed up. then the KR pages came back. the auto-notify WAS absolutely available for a short time, maybe like 3-5mins? obviously they had a set limit for this sku since the auto-notify button went away shortly to prevent more orders. i got in the KL queue. as others have said, they didnt have the 3070 specific page available from the dropdown products menu, but all the 3070 cards showed up if you clicked the 30-series page and sorted by lowest price. that's exactly how I got mine.

Hauler24 I signed up at the times above. I hope that is the time that they will start honoring them.
They are "honoring" queue positions by time, yes...but on a per-SKU basis. (Like the 3080's) They are not going to start up a production line, make one GPU for Bob who signed up at 6:00:00, then switch the line over to make a different card that Billy ordered at 6:00:01, then switch the line over to make another card...you get the idea. They make these things in batches. The 3080's are going out with the most expensive SKU line moving the fastest. However, it appears that the cheapest 3070 will be the first batch to go out.

That is exactly how i got into it as well. I think i had to go to the actual product page to get the notify button to pop up.

What you described fits to the 7 years old boy scout web page. It just doesn't fit for company as EVGA is. That level of amateurism is just unacceptable in already screwed situation. Event is expected, product page coding should be done in advance, tested and ready to go online exactly at 6:00AM. That is how professionals do the job. Retiring soon and last 14 years doing web production in large foundation and that might be a reason to react on this way.

ngaugler I know I am going to regret saying this, but does the collective want me to write a quick website to replace the google drive? It seems like it's getting difficult to manage and will be needed for quite some time.

I've seen some interesting reactions to this launch here, although Reddit is of course far worse. I think living in the (mostly) instant gratification world that we do has reduced our disappointment resiliency. I include myself in that statement as well. Is it disappointing that we can't get a card when we want one? Sure. But one would hope that we could react to disappointment like adults- shrug about the things you have no control over and move on with your day.
