Hello, this is my first time posting here, so sorry if this has already been answered (I've tried the search fx, but could not find anything).

I have the EVGA z370 FTW mobo that boots up and functions fine, but I had one question about it posting.

Whenever I power the computer on(from being turned off completely), there is a post code w/ 4 beeps before it posts regularly with the 2 beeps.  I read the manual, and it says:
"4 Beeps: This is an error relating to some small recovery errors, which can occur when coming out of sleep/hibernate".

My mobo started to give this post code after installing my NVIDIA RTX 3080.  Is this an issue that I need to be concerned about?  If so, what can be done about this?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums..Turning off/unplugging the PSU, if that's what you're doing, can cause 'strange' behavior such as lots of beeping or double-booting.

Otherwise, see page 124 of the EVGA Z370 FTW Manual -> POST Beep codes

Many motherboards will beep 1-2 times per USB device plugged in at boot; some will beep more based on functions of the device.  These detection beeps may occur at the same time as the system’s POST beeps, sometimes making it a challenge to separate the POST beeps from the USB initialization.

You can unplug USB devices to verify that's what's going on.

Check the BIOS Boot Tab for a Speaker Beep ON/OFF setting and set it to OFF..Save & Exit.

Yeah I got the same 4 beep ever time boot up on my Z370 Classy! I just ignore this beep as my PC System running fine and nothing Issues!!
If you still annoy with beeps then you can do Bob's saying about Speaker Beep set to off!
P.S. Have you try remove CMOS battery then leave for 5mins let the little electricity drain down after you have unplug the power supply from the wall?
Have a go and I have try on my but no change it still beeps!!!!

Should also be sure the BIOS is updated to the latest version from the EVGA Download Center.

The short blips before the post beep are normal. If it was an error, the beeps would be more defined and an error code would also display. All the evga z370s do this
