Hi,
I've bought a 2080 TI FTW3 on ebay from EVGA official. This is currently the only way to buy the card as Swiss resident since I can't order from the US webpage and on the EU webpage the card is sold out within minutes when available (maybe all six weeks). In general this isn't a problem but why is EVGA using the global shipping program??? This abmyssal service costs 280.- USD and takes three weeks for shipping!!!! I bought the card on Jan 24th and estimated delivery date is Feb 13th. Why not using e.g. DHL for international shipping?

it cost so much cause it include all the taxes we have to pay to import stuff from US.
But didnt knew take so much for shipping,my order shipped yesterday ,i can track from UPS.

VAT and customs for Switzerland cost 150.- USD, the rest is shipping and profit. They call it „priority shipping“ but I can see that they are using the slow ground service from UPS. Imho this service is a scam.

you should contact evga ebay in case they ship it by mistake with normal shipping instead of priority.

A week after pruchasing the card has still not left USA hence customs were not involved so far. EVGA has sent the card via UPS ground to Kentucky where it should be sent by air mail to Europe. The card is currently stuck in Hodgkins.

It's even getting better! Here the current shipping status: "Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery." It seems I won't get the card until somewhere towards end of Feb.

Nope, the estimation has disappeared. Original estimation was Jan 31st delivered to Kentucky. Then GSP is taking over the responsibility for shipping to Europe.

There is a huge cold front in the north of the USA right now, lots of rail traffic has shut down or slowed for sure.

Got a waterblock for the 2080ti FTW on the way to the UK from their Ebay store (was never in stock on the EU site) - Purchased on the 18th of Jan and due to arrive on the 6th of Feb. Appears to be on track so far, but it is a pretty long process and a lot of it was the ground travel from EVGA to the Ebay Global shipping center.

My FTW3 is still in Erlanger. I just learned that GSP is opening the package - hope they are not damaging or loosing anything!

Yeah, losing things in transit isn't good. I hope they don't open the box and mess around with the card...they may ESD it...bleh

Agreed! But for a 1.5kUSD product EVGA shold offer free choice of shipping method (since I'm paying the shipping anyway). Air freight from California would have been way faster (and not more expensive than GSP) and is not affected by the cold front.

I just ordered 2080 TI XC Ultra from EVGA ebay.
I know that GSP is totally crap but unfortunately I don't have other option to buy EVGA card and I don't
want card from other vendors available in my country.
I hope it will arrive before the end of the month :)

+1 It's a mixture of either brutal cold, sleet, ice, heavy snow, etc. where other parts of the country don't usually get and all the delays at all the airports will just be a domino effect to everything else. nofearek9

Thank you for posting this as I've been trying to tell the members overseas for years it's their VAT/Duties, etc. that brings the cost up. The US doesn't usually tax the heck of the products it sends out but countries importing from the US do. The higher the price is, the higher the fee/tax/dutie or w/e will be. nofearek9

My FTW3 arrived today!  The package was in good condition and GSP didn't open it. Shipping time was 14 days -> not really good but acceptable. The longest part was the shipping from Brea to Erlanger (8 days) hence the part where EVGA was responsible for shipping. GSP took 2 days, Air transport took 2 days and Swiss post 2 days. So the only thing that annoys me is the way too high Price tag and that EVGA took the cheapest shipping service to GSP.

First of all enjoy your new GPU! ;) 14 days in total is not amazing but not so Bad.

Have to say, love the fact I was able to buy the FTW3 hybrid kit from the eBay store despite it not being available in Europe, and the people who do CS for your store are top notch... But shipping times are really awful,and the shipping isn't that cheap! I've two orders and it looks like it will have been about 3 weeks from point of order to arrival. The longest part will likely have been the Ups ground shipping and handover to global shipping.
I've had stuff shipped from China quicker.
If cost is a problem give us the option to pay a bit extra for fast shipping please :)
