Hmm, I would be very interested in what factors in this evga score. I have 7800gs, 8800 ultra, 460gtx, 970gtx, 1080gtx, 3070gtx, a motherboard and a power supply. And all I have to show for it is an EVGA score of 8. That's what 6 generations of EVGA video cards gets you. An 8.

As someone who used to be in application development with a lot of logic going on, we would deem queue 3.0 as fuzzy logic.  Agree with many others that EVGA is not being fully transparent in how they are doing this along with several other "changes" they have made recently.

I wonder about that but I'm not too worried about the scores, also the scores only counts registered protects as low as 1/1/2019 0:00:00am but for newer registered protects it will update monthly

The items purchased have to be within the last 3 years.  Purchased items only affect your evga score for 3 years and then from my understanding they drop off.

To be honest, purchased items really don't affect your score much unless you bought a ton of stuff.  I bought a lot of stuff (about 6K) in the last 12 months and I only got a score in the low 100s.

Thank you, at least I know why now, and where I stand as a customer.

Yup the bottom.

Basically even though you're a loyal customer, any guy with who referred to himself 5 times and resold all his gpus is worth more than you.

There's the "rub" right there. The crux of the pain with this Q 3.0 system. EVGA Bucks should have their contributed weight reduced when being used to calculate the score. Blue Ribbon should get the highest weight, IMO. Those represent the people who try to help others in the forums. Not sure how I'd handle purchased items ... I'd lean towards validating as best as possible that they were not bot purchases, or done to scam the queues in some way. But, I'd probably give purchased items the same weight as EVGA Bucks. Failing that, EVGA Bucks should get the lowest weight ... for now, until they can finally filter out the "referred themselves multiple times and resold their GPUs on eBay" crowd.

If you read the Queue 3.0 info you would see that they only counted purchases since 1/1/2019.

I'm in the same boat as many people here.  I have EVGA purchases and registrations going back almost 15 years and nothing to show for being a loyal customer.

Problems:
1) dead 30xx SKUs:  still no communication on which 30xx queues are dead, 15 months later
2) bots:  bots could easily have high EVGA scores
3) multiple accounts/workarounds:  see 2
4) raw wait times (first come first serve):  not really a problem to begin with in terms of fairness.  if I queue, purchase, requeue and purchase again, there is nothing wrong with that.

what problem has been solved with these changes?  seems to me that all that has been accomplished is a decrease in transparency, word games and an obfuscated score.  is that what we're calling a "reward" for purchase loyalty?

1-i think this was addressed last year, no? they switched the non-LHR queues to LHR versions and gave anyone in these old queues the chance to switch or stay. If you chose to stay in the non-LHR, my guess is those make up the majority of the "dead" queues. they offered an out by converting to LHR queue, but i'm sure some folks (especially miners with alts) may have risked staying in those queues in case some non-LHR chips were still in hand to ship eventually.

2/3-my take on bots is they don't factor in here. bots may use a program to auto-buy, but they're just a program employed by an end user who wants to buy (and likely resell) as much as they can. or miners depending on sku. unless you classify an account using a "bot" as the same person with the alt they're using the evga code for...since that is the account that gets the evga bucks/evga score pts for these referrals. and that is quite easy for evga to manually check. i'm sure there aren't that many 5 figure scores, and what i know of their process is they do manually check purchase accounts and addresses for accounts with a lot of purchase activity to make sure they're not going to the same places. sure there are alternate address workarounds but there's only so much you can do, and this practice is less common than people here seem to think.

4-yeah that seems fine, but less doable now with the 2 active queue slot limit. waiting months for your queues of, for example, a 3080 and 3090 to hit for a purchase, only to then queue for a 3070 and 3060Ti doesn't bode well for you getting the latter cards any time soon.

I expect most of this will be mooted for the 30 series stuff anyway when you consider wait times and when the 40 series will be here (guessing fall 22 - spring 23)

1 - Nope, they did not switch all the non-LHR queues to LHR. Only some of them were switched. Roughly 25% of all SKUs were converted to LHR.
close

- 5 of the "Ultra" SKUs where switched (5 out of 10)
- Only 1 of the "Gaming" SKUs were switched (1 out of 10)
- Only 1 of the "Black" SKUs (1 out of 4)
- Only 2 of the "Hybrid" SKUs (2 out of 6)
- None of the "Hydro Copper" SKUs
- None of the "KINGP|N" SKUs.

3090’s don’t have LHR variants, only 3080ti and below, and some of those came from NVidia with no FHR variant, so only the original products with FHR variants were converted to LHR.

The variants I can think of off the top of my head were 3080, 3070, and 3060ti, and a very small quantity of 3060’s that NVidia borked the LHR launch on. 3080ti, 3070ti, and most 3060’s came with only LHR variants and had no reason to switch.

My score is 0 :( - its up in My EVGA.

Yup, guess registering my 3080 FTW3 Ultra and their 200.00+ dollar keyboard with keys that stick all the time doesn't count for anything here.

I think there are different tiers or teams of score groups.  So everyone with different scores will belong to a specific group of people.  Each group gets a number of GPUs which allows everyone new or old to have a chance at a GPU.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

It wouldn't really matter if it's only an 8 since in a system since it's about how many people are above and below that level. If you sign up for a notification that eight is going to be better than anyone below it which is going to be a lot who are just at a zero.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

No score matters if the queue duration is so short that life prevents you from even entering. Normal people are at work when EVGA opens the queue during business hours. If the queue is only 90 minutes long, who do you think the majority in those queue will be? People who don't have a normal job, who are interested in buying a GPU, and make money in alternative fashions. Who? Scalpers, for example.

idk man, i have a normal job i just happen to do it at a computer all day. lots of people work at a computer and can sneak away for 15 minutes to queue, buy concert or game tickets, etc

if you work on your feet, do you not have a mobile device you can use to try to queue? idk i'd try that but yes not everyone wins in life. it just isn't fair. let's make a movie about it

I work on my feet with a multimeter in my hand and I am not allowed to sneak away on a mobile device. The majority of the working class is subject to those same restrictions. If you have a desk job, good for you. Don't make assumptions about people with trades.
Rather than focusing on excuses, we should focus on broken promises and compromises which do not serve regular loyal customers.

I don't work today. Four 10s.
Additionally, since I am not interested in buying these cards, my concern is based on altruism, and therefore my work schedule is inconsequential to any other's.

So what are the tiers? What score do I need to move up a tier?

No one knows that yet.

Over 10k I think.  People who have bucks score very high.  I don't have any Bucks but have bought a fair amount of GPUs and PSUs.  My score is 74.

Someone reported just under 14,000 and I am sure there are higher than that.

My score is ONE.  HOW IN THE WORLD?!?!

I even have purchases registered in EVGA because I own multiple items (not GPU though, as I cannot get one), all purchased in 2020 or 2021.

What the heck, EVGA?

Wow nice. Make sense, I have no bucks. Just my 3090 KPE and the 390 dark.

It'll be interesting to see if they stick with this system once the GPU shortage ends and we get into the 4xxx series. I can't help but think I'll be at a disadvantage now but only time will tell.
