Blue ribbons also seem to count high as well.  Which they should

I don't think it's all about the highest score that wins here.  I think the scores are just there to put each person in particular groups in different ranged numbered blocks if you will so block 1-100 or 1000-5000, etc.  The higher caliber guys will be put in those high caliber groups, same with the those with the lowest scores will be put in the lower score groups, etc.  Each of these groups get a certain amount of GPUs.  Those with higher scores that already got a 3000 GPU within those particular groups will get deprioritized for those that haven't got one yet.  It gives everyone a chance from A to Z to get a chance for a GPU, new or old members, etc.

That's the way I'm starting to understand this unless EVGA wants to correct me on it.

Over 10k I think.  People who have bucks score very high.  I don't have any Bucks but have bought a fair amount of GPUs and PSUs.  My score is 74.

Someone reported just under 14,000 and I am sure there are higher than that.

Wouldn't surprise me.  I'm curious to see what the distribution of scores is across the user base.  I expect the mode would be 0 naturally.  Though there are some very high rollers, I doubt that that there are tons of them.  They have said that the top 300 will get an opportunity to buy a card.  But, how many people are over 10k?  50? 100?  How many are scattered between 1000-10000 ... another 100?  It's conceivable that if you score above, say, 100 pts, you might make the top-300 cut.

Ok this way makes it sound a lot more fairer. Though I wonder how this will hold up for the very limited runs like the 3090 TI KPE.

Hmm, I would be very interested in what factors in this evga score. I have 7800gs, 8800 ultra, 460gtx, 970gtx, 1080gtx, 3070gtx, a motherboard and a power supply. And all I have to show for it is an EVGA score of 8. That's what 6 generations of EVGA video cards gets you. An 8.

It's funny how EVGA identifies as loyal customers those whoose spent out the most in the last 3 years (i.e. THE MINING ERA) besides unloyal customers that bought EVGA cards ever since. I've been buying EVGA cards for almost 25y but apparently this ain't loyalty.

It's funny as hell that loyal customers are also indentified in forum contributors/helpers : i owe max respect to you guys but, who said that univocally are customers? that's not a direct association imho.

I would state " WE GOT A NEW 3.0 Q SYSTEM" and these are the rules. Don't spread out it's favoring loyals

really wish there was a chart or something that broke down the individual item point values.  My score of 30 seems....low. I started buying eVGA products back in 2005; I have several generations of eVGA video cards, several generations of eVGA motherboards, several eVGA power supplies, and an eVGA CLC registered.

My score is ONE.  HOW IN THE WORLD?!?!

I even have purchases registered in EVGA because I own multiple items (not GPU though, as I cannot get one), all purchased in 2020 or 2021.

What the heck, EVGA?

HAHAHA ya I have 4 things I bought from evga 2 video cards and 2 power supplies and my score is "6" woo hoo eh!
I have bought way more than that over the last 30 years but its all builds for other folks so no receipts and they would
not count anyway to old.

What's the highest score reported so far? I got 28.

There is someone with a score of over 87,000 and a few people with scores over 10,000.  I've only seen about a dozen people with scores over 10,000, but I'm sure there are more because not everyone is posting their scores.

If someone participated in EVGA's folding team for quite a few years, their score could be over 1,000.  People who have had their referral code used often for purchases also have high scores.

I know the score period is from 2019, but having bought a 580 Classified (have two actually), a 980, a 980ti, a 1080ti and now a 3080ti... I'm a bit confused why my score is 0.

It's fine. Many in the current queue have a score of 0, and they will still have no problem getting their cards. They are in the queue, and you are not. The score doesn't matter if racing into the queue is still a requirement.

I was a bit annoyed this "customer queue" wasn't a thing when I was queuing for the 3080ti.

Re: EVGA score 2022/01/14 22:28:42 (permalink)
I was buying a lot of EVGA products before 2019 and the last purchase I was able to get a hand on was a 2080 in late 2018. I do not know how they calculate the score but I am pretty sure miners and hoarders probably scored a lot since I cannot really get a hand on any products between mid-2019 till 2022. I am kinda disappointed with how this thing is calculated. I currently have 2 1070s, 1 1080, 1 2070Super, 1 2080, and 5 Power supplies from EVGA among several Powerlinks. I hope they adjust the system to actually account for what we have purchased before 2019 as well. If counting loyalty score is for a span of 2 years that does not make sense. Loyalty means long-term, not just the last 2 years when the mining industry got out of hand. I hope they will adjust this so that people who are actually supporting the company will have motivation and purpose will continue to support EVGA.

I agree that 3 years, when almost two of them were during economic upheaval from a pandemic...that feels a bit short.

It would seem fair to prioritize based on hardware purchase before the mining era and also the longevity of the EVGA account.  At least it's fair to have the queue system that helps regular users vs miners.  Well here's hoping.

The items purchased have to be within the last 3 years.  Purchased items only affect your evga score for 3 years and then from my understanding they drop off.

To be honest, purchased items really don't affect your score much unless you bought a ton of stuff.  I bought a lot of stuff (about 6K) in the last 12 months and I only got a score in the low 100s.

Thank you, at least I know why now, and where I stand as a customer.

Yup. Essentially, since we don't bring in lots of money to the company, we don't matter.

And those who brought in more money will surely land somewhere in front to bring even more money.

You know it's crazy times when we see people competing for a chance to spend their money on something that's already overpriced to begin with.

That's just you. If you read the post about queue 3.0, they do clearly state that registered products increase your score, but it's pretty evident from the forum posts so far that referrals and forum activity have a hugely greater impact on your EVGA score. Especially with the three year limit on purchases.

More so, it shows that a queue which is given a timing restriction, makes the functionality of Queue 3.0 completely compromised.
