The software changes to vid cards are not being accepted by the OS. Being as they are hardware based access, the OS is blocking them. Even got a a crash of game saying device removed, when uninstalling with game running. Something in OXC is interfering with Creator update on Windows 10.
Game is Archage(multibox, but running single instance to test, so prevalent issues may be from that, but just started the process)
I've done the following seeing my background color happen at crash of driver, or a hard lock.
Vid card is gtx 980, with add-on hybrid(loving this)
Updated OS(10 creator update, x64), old driver 378.66, netflix on 1 monitor(1080p), game (multi) (window) on 4k monitor, screen flashed background color, then hard locked. Rebooted with hard reset. Netflix app, and game, hard lock after res changes from game using last known window instance.
Updated NV driver to latest at time 381.65, same issue once again, with netflix and game.
After more crashes of trial and error narrowed it to OXC. Did not turn of the K boost though.
Odd thing is when OXC crashes it can be visible, but not usable. likea ghosted window, stuck on screen, have to close the window and manually launch again.
I7-3820, no oc, 16GB ram, gtx980 release, v2 board, with hybrid kit.
Typing this with Archeage running in window, and Netflix app playing a movie. with no issues so far. about 20 minutes into movie.
Could be my custom setup of apps and such, just think it may be the hook DLL in OXC being blocked by underlying OS system from the latest update.
Thinking XP to Vista then Vista to 7, then 7 to 8, then 8.1
