I'm stuck and can't seem to figure out what is going on.
I just built a new computer and I can't get Windows 10 to install, I can get to the end of the installation process and then all of sudden the computer just shuts off.
I have noticed in BIOS that the temp of the CPU is hitting 100c. Thought that was insane on liquid cooling.
I have removed video card, tried different hard drive, and ran the BIOS update.
Specs:
INTEL INTEL I9-10900K BOX
EVGA EVGA Z490 FTW WIFI
CRUCIAL 32GB16X2D4 3200CL16 RGB W have 2 kits for a total of 64GB
SAMSUNG E 2TB 970EVO+NVME M.2 SSD
CORSAIR XH305I RGB COOLING KIT
EVGA 1300G+ 80+G FM ATX PSU
EVGA RTX 2080 TI Super
Thanks for the advise and help.

Sounds like a bad thermal paste job - that would be my first stop. What are you cooling it with? If it's an AiO, there may be problems there, perhaps the pump has died / power not connected properly, or there's a block in the water hose. Possibly the cooling block isn't screwed down properly over the CPU or the mount got caught on one of the threads so isn't screwed down all the way but feels like it is. If it's a custom loop, some water blocks have to have the water flowing in a specific port and out the other, so there's always a chance you got them the wrong way around. Just tossing ideas out.

Thanks for the info attached is a picture of the layout. Water is flowing and the pump is working. I was thinking the block as well. Going to need to drain it all and check it out..

Nice rig, going to put the 2080Ti on water? Pita having to drain it but I can't think what else it might be if it's hitting 100 with a water cooled 360 rad setup like that, unless there's something wrong with the board... but even that wouldn't explain the high temps. Is the temp still way up there if you look at it in the bios? A0 usually means success, and that's what shows if you haven't selected it to show temperature instead once it's running. Check around back to see if the mounting bracket hasn't gone askew somehow and stopped even contact between block and CPU.
Do you see the bios & windows installation process ok on your monitor (just checking it's not a cable issue to the display)?

Hmmm....
I concur since you're at max Tjunction idling sounds like strong possibility CPU thermal throttle self preservation but I'm surprised it happens that quickly ( Hope it isn't progressive heat damage happened during Win install ). That build should get by at idle running with a fraction of what your 1300w PSU can put out so possibly VRM damage/over heat maybe also(?). I'm thinking A0 code means "IDE initialization is started." -- after BIOS flash did you check all boot and MBD sensor dependent settings and reset appropriately? You don't specifically say, but I'm assuming since you said new build this is new CPU, yes? Perhaps also could be defective CPU out of box? Looking at your build and specs, I'm fairly certain you're in the OC crowd so should it turn out CPU thermal damage, I'll bet that $20 Intel Performance Tuning Protection Plan you bought at (

)
will come in handy! GL!

I found my issue. The heat sink had a spacer in i didnt see during installing. So the sink wasn't even touching the CPU. Ahhh I feel like a noob, its been a few years since I did a liquid install. However I got it fixed and all is working good. Thanks for the advice.
As for the 2080 I will be putting in a 3090 once it shows up next week. I'm leaving that on air for the time being. I should of held off on doing the liquid until I got the card and did it all at once. But I'm impatient and was needing something to do lol.
Again thanks for everything guys, I have been away from the game for some time now. These forums are why I got back into.

Bingo, figured it was the block. Pita, but glad you got it sorted. Enjoy the new build and the 3090 when it arrives! I have a 3090 already but I'm waiting for a GPU block before I switch over to a full water loop. Been years since I have done a custom loop too - my last one was 2 x GTX 480 FTW Hydro Coppers (SLI) with an i7-930. Been running AiO rigs ever since, until now. Cheers.

It does feel good to get it working. It also allowed me to clean up a few wires.
That will be a nice setup, microcenter was sold out of the blocks for the 2080 and didn't gave any for the 3090.
