How is the onboard audio for the Z390 Dark. I am looking to use it with my AudioEngine A2+ and Audioengine S8 Sub and want to know how it is for onboard audio.

This is a gaming pc and I was wonder is this enough to drive them or would I be better off getting the EVGA NU

The onboard Nu Audio can drive up to 600ohms and all you need to do is check the demands of your 2.1 system.

I have not read any reviews on the integrated Nu Audio chip on either of these Z390s so if you do end up setting that up some feedback would be very much appreciated (no pun intended).

My speakers are powered speakers same with the sub. I was wondering how big the difference between the nu and the onboard will be just using it for gaming

I use the onboard Creative Audio with a Klipsch 2.1 speaker system and sub and I find the sound to be very good.

I'm using the onboard audio, but the problem I have isn't the quality, its with the Soundblaster Control Panel. My Bose speakers seem to have an internal crossover, so I need a bit more bass in the 125hz range so it has a full sound.

When I set an equalizer profile, its not persistent on reboot. I have to open the Soundblaster Control Panel and change one of the sliders for the software to recognize that the equalizer is enabled. I've tried all the usual uninstall/reinstall steps to no avail.

Using the Microsoft driver which automatically installs, this isn't an issue. I can add bass boost with the enhancements tab without a problem. Running Windows 10 x64 ver. 1903.

Otherwise, the onboard doesn't seem to have any quality issues I can hear, but I'm only using a Logitech gaming headset and Bose desktop speakers.

Intrestingly enough, the UEFI lists it as "realtek audio" in the onboard device menu.
