Level 4 Look Close you Will See a Gap Between the IHS and the PCB with this Copper Top. It has 100% Contact with CPU Die so it must be made this way for the 9th Gen Intel Processors.

CPU Socket Pins when I removed the Water Block the CPU Lock Popped Up and then dropped back down and my seal caused the CPU to be bound to the CPU Socket Lock Plate. 100% on me, but the Lock System could have been better IMO.

Ugh. I am so out of touch. Sorry to hear about your Z390 Dark. Will EVGA swap the 1151 socket for a fee? (Repair service) (not a warren tee claim)?
I think that service costs $80-100$ for the other manufacturers.
Its actually not a super difficult process.
So the bent pins in the socket fried/shorted out the 9900K as well?

Yep it seems so on the CPU. Nope It is not repairable and EVGA no longer supports Bent CPU Socket Pin Damage. Years back I did pay EVGA $85 on an older X79 Classified MB but EVGA no longer repairs Motherboards.

It cannot be as one Side all the Pins are Broken off and Bent Against the Socket wall.

 Offered to do it for free to include shipping but they would need to replaced the Socket altogether and not 100% in the end. I still have the MB back in it's box and maybe latter down the road might rethink this.
