If I go by what I read in the manual for the Evga Z370 FTW, none of the PCIe lanes are used for M.2 in any of the Evga
Z370 motherboards...

Will the 2 PCIe-16 slots be setup as Gen3, x16 lanes from CPU, x8 shared with 2nd  PCIe slot?
What I want to do is use PCIe adaptor for M.2 in first PCIe x16 slot and use second PCIe x16 slot for graphics card.

Your m.2 will use up to 4 lanes from the cpu if you run it in slot PE2. The graphics card in PE4 will run at x8 due to you running a M.2 in slot PE2.
