Ordered today z370 FTW motheboard. Now next step for me is choosing the CPU. I was hoping to go for 9th gen CPU. Now I'm thinking if the new motherboards comes with the bios flashed to work with 9th gen out of the box? I don't have 8th gen CPU to flash the motherboard...

    If it doesn't come with the correct bios for your cpu you could always ship it to evga, and have them flash it for you.

    You could definitely call in and ask them to make sure it's running the latest bios if you purchased the board directly from evga.

    It will most likely come with the required bios already since the 1.09 bios has been out for like 7 months already.

    I heard that they ship out with default bios. Don't want to be running in this errors when i get all parts for the build.

    just read on other forum that evga can send an bios chip instead? Interested how that works.

    Never mind, new motherboard chips are soldered. That is out of the question.

    I got both my z370FTW boards a 6 or more months ago and they came with 1.08 BIOS, you should be fine.

    One came from Amazon one from EVGA. 
    One has an i5-8600k and one an i7-8086k, both are working fine, no issues.

    Thank you for your reply. 8th gen cpu's will work out of the box 100%, but I was curious if they would be flashed to the bios that would work with 9th gen cpu.
