I just upgraded my FTW Z270 to a Classified K specifically for the Thunderbolt 3 integration - but the only drivers available for EVGA are outdated and EVGA isn't listed among the Thunderbolt supported motherboards or are there instructions to update the firmware.

Are there upgraded software / drivers from another computer manufacturer I should be using?   Right now I can see the software located in the app section but no specific Thunderbolt settings in Device Manager.  It isn't recognizing any TB products I plug in as well.

When I run the software and select Details - I receive the following:
Software Version: 16.2.52.250
Application Version: 16.2.51.18
Service Version: 16.2.52.3
Controller Version: 16.2.51.2
Networking: Unknown

Thunderbolt 3 (15D9)
Security User Authorization (SL1)
NVM Firmware: 12.00
PD Firmware: 1.11.05
External GPUs Supported? Yes

I'm concerned I wasted my money on a board upgrade as the only advantage or reason I had to upgrade to the Classified K was the TB3 support which is critical for my use.  Otherwise I would have selected another manufacturer's MB or even upgraded the chipset / CPU.

You installed the Thunderbolt driver from here correct?

So far none of my thunderbolt drives, Macs anything will be even recognized.   The software looks like it works - but nothing I connect shows.  It's also not included in the Intel / Thunderbolt product listing even though there are EVGA laptops and other Z270 boards from other manufacturers.   Intel has updated the drivers and firmware since the date of the only driver on the EVGA support page for the MB.

As far as I remember-- I am using stock EVGA setup to my Z270-Classified-K and it sees my OWC thunderbolt 3  four bay housing.
    ( latest win 10 )

I did use the Thunderbolt slot in the back of MB and NOT the usb3 c slot jsut above it.

I also just tried Ubuntu 18.10  and the new 19.04 disco dingo and they see the unit and its SSD disks

( I do use 2 M.2 SSD's  for  OS and use BIOS to disable them when testing - as the last time I used Unix was on a Vax 11/780 )

I did a double check today and  saw that one of my Thunderbolt 3 cables did not make a full insert into the MB port as the back shield was a little warped - ( this gave a no thunderbolt device  condition)

Some device have a (notch ? ) that gives a slight click when inserting a thunderbolt 3 cable ( the ones that look like - USB-c  )  but not on the EVGA classified K MB )  so be sure there a good connection with support on the cable to keep is attached)

ALSO I never noticed before in Windows-10 there was a hidden tool bar Thunderbolt ICON  (Thunderbolt TM Software)
that has items in the menu like:

View attached device   --- mine says port 1 otherworld computing thunderBay 43
    Approved Attached devices  (port one)
    Thunderbolt network
    manage approved device
    settings
    exit

    Software pkg version  16.2.52.250
