Hi all,

Is there an option within the EVGA X99 FTW K say when the cpu reaches a temperature of 65c it will shut down the computer. Meaning can i tell the BIOS on which temperature it will shut down example 65c? Even when hardcore gaming my i7-6800k wont get higher then 32c - 35c and idle = 22c to 23c (also in the loop is a GTX 1070 sc)
Using watercooling (one D5 pump) i wanted to use dual D5 pumps but most say its not that much needed reason why--> if one fails the computer will auto shut down but thats when it reaches a very high temperature correct?
I assume the EVGA X99 FTW K has a build in safety if the cpu gets to hot and shuts down where is this option within the bios?

I don't fiddle to much with the BIOS i let everything on stock except maybe the RAM timings and the obvious BOOT order, time and all that simple stuff.

Thanks in advance

Not that I know of, I use this to shut down mine if it hits to high of a Temp....
CTR-CD1224 12V or 24V Pump & Fan Controller With Display
This is the new or current one CTR-KSM100 Controller with Hardware and Software Interfaces

65°C is OK I would go to at least 79°C but the CPU will shutdown at 102°C or 3
Software is the only way I know of to do what you want or a Pump Controller like above.

    Thanks for the reply,

What you suggested is a whole new pump(s) i already have a running custom water cooling setup.
D5 pump + EKWB top and res
Aquacomputer AMS 840 full copper radiator
    Koolance cpu block
    Koolance gpu block
    Koolance fittings
    Koolance Pre mix coolant

I remember on older motherboards there was an option to set your target temperature in order to shut it down once it reaches this temperature.
I wonder if the EVGA X99 FTW K has this option and where it is if any...

If not are there any third party programs where i can do this reliably? Probably not since it has to fiddle with the BIOS a thing that seems not that advisable...

I know of none and not seeing any on my X99 FTW K or Classified or any other EVGA Motherboard, Sorry.
Does EK not have some kind of Pump Controller like what Koolance HAD and has now?
    Have you tried Core Temp?

    Thanks for the feedback,

I was looking for programs so far i found the one you mentioned "Core Temp" and i also found "Real Temp" which has a build in thermal shut down to any temperature you set it to i would like it to shut down at 65c - 70c. No the EK is just the top the pump is from Alphacool with manual dial setting (1 to 5). So either one of those programs should hopefully do the job and i still have the BIOS auto thermal shut down but thats when it reaches 102c? Not wanting to wait till my cpu starts cooking hence 65c - 70c is a better thermal shutdown for me.

"Real Temp" is old and has no support for newer CPU, I stopped using it when the X99 Chipset Motherboards came out.
