I have this very same issue. I have a 7820x, with a GTX 1080 FTW DT, and a x299 Micro ATX 2. It won't boot to Windows it just keeps giving me a d6 error. Believe me when I tell you I have absolutely tried everything. It's only been in this unbootable state since I turned on Secure Boot. I was able to download an Nvidia driver to disable CSM successfully, but as soon as I enabled Secure Boot it won't let me past the BIOS setup into Windows. In Windows, I get video output but not on BIOS and now my computer refuses to move past BIOS setup (i would assume, I have no video output).  I posted on Reddit on 3 different subs and I was ignored. Support most likely will take a very long time to get back to me. I am absolutely frustrated over this issue why is Win11 such a pain.

Remove the GPU if possible, clear the BIOs, install the GPU and see what that does.

I just reseated everything in my computer, like the above post suggested. I still recieve the d6 error. My mobo cannot detect any gpu, i tried my fiances 1070 still no video. It wont clear the CMOS and it wont flash from USB, the feature with this mobo is the ability to flash with a USB stick with the BIOS .bin on FAT32. It doesnt even read it!! no Indication light on my USB, when I hold the reset and let the countdown finish it just fails. no matter what port no matter whats plugged in. I am beyond words I am so frustrated.

I cannot clear the BIOS. I have a CMOS reset on the back of my mobo, which supposedly changes the settings but it does nothing. Itll start without beeps, run a few post codes, then restart, and same thing 5 beeps with d6. I replied to my original post saying i just reseated everything. Ram, CPU, GPU. I got thermal compound all over my hands.

I have the same issue with an X299 Micro ATX mobo, got it from the B-stock page. So I installed the GPU an EVGA GT 1030 2gb, noticed the D6 error, confirmed an issue with the PCI-E 16x riser (it's in a 2U rackmount), pulled the mobo out and replaced the PCI-E 16x riser extension with a 1x riser, everything was working GREAT until I put the mobo in the rack, and the 1x riser popped out, I accidentally put the riser back in backwards (couldn't see inside the back of the rack) and then got D6 error again. Ok, pull the mobo out and swap the riser the correct orientation, now it gets D6 error again. Test again directly to the mobo with PCI-E and 1030GT (directly insert the card into the mobo) and still get D6 error. Swap with an EVGA 1050ti and insert directly into mobo, boots first start and there's no D6 error, try an EVGA 1060 3GB and all good as well.. 1030GT gives D6 error again, directly into mobo now. Clear bios, re-flash the 1.30 bios. still same issue with 1030GT. Any other card works fine directly into mobo. 1050ti and 1060 3GB confirmed working with 1x riser. Finally get replacement 16x riser in the mail and a BRAND NEW GT 1030, place the parts into mobo pci-e with pci-e 16x riser and GT1030, still get D6 error. Swap the GT1030 with a 1050Ti and there's no D6 error. Swap 1050ti with 1060 3GB an no D6 error. Try again with GT1030 and getting D6 error. I have 3 other x299 micro mobos with the PCI-E 16x riser and GT 1030 and no D6 issues, running 1.30 bios. Any ideas?

I'd like for you to contact EVGA tech support because the error occurs only with the GT 1030.
