EVGA X1 Precision prompted me to update my firmware when I booted up my computer today, and so I did.  Shortly after completing this update, I tried to watch a video but then my computer froze to black screen then rebooted.   Upon rebooting, I now see artifacts randomly appearing.  Nothing else has changed besides installing the new firmware.

Can I revert to the previous firmware/anyone else have these problems?

I just updated and have not noticed any problems yet on a 3080 XC3 Ultra Gaming. Will post again if I encounter anything.

Thanks for posting that joshl77. I have been afraid to install the new PX1 after what it did to poor mith36's card. I'll admit I'm still kind of afraid it will bork my RTX 3070 FTW3.:(

There should be a way to install the earlier controller software back on your card mith36. Try contacting EVGA support on Monday and see if they can set you up with it.

Well, I guess I can try updating to the new PX1 and see if it tries to update my software.

No issues here. Make sure fans are running. All this does is update fan and rgb firmware.

Well, I installed the new PX1 and it said I needed to update my firmware so I did. I have to admit I was nervous something would go wrong but luckily it went smooth.:)

Yeah, I installed PX1 1.1.4 but it didn't update my firmware. It appears my card already had the latest firmware installed when I received it from EVGA in December. Trust me I was nervous updating the firmware.:) My card has been flawless and I was so worried something would go wrong when I updated. If you don't feel comfortable you probably shouldn't update because there is always some level of risk.

If you are still having a problem with the card, you might try shutting the system down and turning off the power to the power supply.  Leave it for a few minutes and restore the power supply then restart your system.

I just fixed a very loud fan noise yesterday by doing this.  It might clear something out and help the card..

The latest firmware reduced the power consumption - now i have 380-390 watt instead of 415-430 in Cyberpunk'77. Have someone the same effect after update?

I have to say I'm not really happy with the new firmware contained in the current PX1. It seemed to make my fans much louder. I can now hear a loud low hum coming from them that I'm pretty sure wasn't there before. It is especially bad when when my fans are running at 70% speed. The fans just seem overall louder now. Not happy. If EVGA can post the previous firmware because I would like to install it. I have the RTX 3070 FTW3 Ultra.

Look at your Boost Curve and see if you have 4 or more voltage steps at the same core clock.

I’m running standard bios and I don’t think I want to suck more juice to get more power, but with this update the auto scan has said i can go from the previous +85 scan to the new +126 Scan and still keep the +200 Mem OC which is great for me only issue it’s introduced is the colour sometimes goes back to rainbow phewk and the fans ramp up and down
