To those who are holding out hope that EVGA will eventually make cards for AMD or Intel, I'm guessing you didn't see the gamers nexus video where Steve said he asked Han that question, and he flat-out told Steve they will not ever be making video cards again with any company. If they were waiting for a non-compete agreement to end, Han would have left some wiggle room in his answer even if he couldn't simply come out and say, "Hell yeah!"
In the 20 years or so that I've been buying GPU's, I've only ever bought one that wasn't made by EVGA. To me, they were miles ahead of any other AIB or of Nvidia's founders edition cards, and I've never really wanted to buy from anyone else. I got ripped off by Asus refusing to honor a warranty on a very nice monitor, and I've lost faith in and respect for MSI over the last few years due to bad experiences personally as well as sleazy stuff that they've done at large. But I guess that if I want a 4080, I'll have to bit the bullet and choose from a bunch of inferior options. Will probably end up going with *shudder* Asus.
Never, ever are words that can come back and bite you in the buns.
