This is bad news!!!

Always been a fan of EVGA gpu's!

Now which brand keep their warranty even if i custom water cool my GPU?
And screw NVIDIA for making two versions of the 4080...they dont even use the same pcb board (AD103).

While this does suck but in a few years they might been seen as the smart ones.   With nvidia undercutting their own board partners and treating them like 3 class, I can see nvidia pushing out the aib's altogether and just making it all themselves and reaping all the profits from it.

I have a feeling there is more... If so, this is the first stage before they can make new partnerships.

This ^^^ my intuition tells me so step one of a plan.

This is sad news. Although they dismissed the potential to work with AMD and Intel I sure hope they partner with either or both to make graphics cards. I really like EVGA's GPUs and do not want them to go away.

I’m shocked. No clue what I’m going to buy in terms of 40 series now. Asus? Who knows.

EVGA’s customer service when it comes to GPUs will be sorely missed.

Ever hear of BFG Tech? They stopped making Nvidia GPUs in 2010 and were defunct in 4 months. Don't expect warranty support for much longer.

Unfortunate news. We'll have to fight amongst the masses for new GPU's. No more queues : (

I agree wholeheartedly!!  I'm at a loss...  I wish them well, but they apparently WILL continue with other things, like PSUs?  Motherboards?  Etc?

But maybe they will pick it up with AMD?  Who knows, it could be beneficial to AMD.

Love EVGA GPU's so this really saddens me.  I'm brand loyal to EVGA.  I'd buy an EVGA RX 7900XT over an nVidia card from Asus/MSI/Etc.

EVGA is the best AIB, them offering fewer things is awful for the market.

Re: EVGA Will no longer do business with NVIDIA 2022/09/16 13:32:59 (permalink)
I mean this sounds like the end of EVGA...

The reality is no matter what the complication was between NVIDIA and EVGA at the end of the day NVIDIA will never notice EVGA's departure, but EVGA's bottom line certainly will. The consumer really only has one option for GPU's and that is NVIDIA so they will continue to purchase NVIDIA GPU's, just now they want be doing it from EVGA. Like it or not if your not selling NVIDIA GPU's as an AIB your really just not a player in the market... And what else does EVGA have to sell that is going to sustain the company as any kind of major player in the market?

Well, this is disturbing news without having a "we're partnering with AMD/Intel" right behind the departure. Here's hoping they have something else lined up in the near future...

Absolutely not.

Per our Official Statement:
  • EVGA will continue to support the existing current generation products.
EVGA is committed to our customers and will continue to offer sales and support on the current lineup. Also, EVGA would like to say thank you to our great community for the many years of support and enthusiasm for EVGA graphics cards.

Edit - For transparency purposes, I'll leave my original post here, but with a strikethrough. There's no change in the meaning of my post.  I'd just rather quote an official statement today.  Otherwise, it's still correct that there are no changes to our warranty.

How will this affect the step-up program?

I am curious to see what will become of the 10 year warranties; I have one on my 3080Ti and I suppose I will just be out of luck if it dies within a few months?

You will only be able to step up to another 30 series card.  This burns me pretty bad on a 3090ti I just snagged.

UGH.... **** smh

Andrew Han strikes again... he's going to crash and burn the company.

Just my $.02, that's kinda harsh.

Maybe EVGA is also looking out for you and this hasn't been realized by some yet.

I also feel strongly about principle, and this seems to be playing a huge part.

I trust EVGA is making the correct decision, and I support their stand on this.

If you need a graphics card, I'm sure you can dig deep into your funds and get one from somewhere.

I'm looking forward to what EVGA may have planned or is planning.

The engineering and style of EVGA GPUs is unmatched, and EVGA customer service is the best in the industry. I have really hard time understanding why would EVGA throw a towel when it is on top of its game... Ethereum merge has ruined the NVIDIA future sales forecast and they are squeezing their partners "Amazon-style"? In any case, glad I was a loyal customer for 10+ years and bought dozens of EVGA products. Whatever you guys do next -- I will want to remain your customer.

Re: EVGA Will no longer do business with NVIDIA 2022/09/16 13:46:51 (permalink)
I know there are many reasons, personal reasons and beyond. But no other company has been there through the years like EVGA has for my self and many people I know.

To think I have to support some off shore company for my GPU needs kind of hurts.
With this decision I know the future of GPU's in the US will change because we are funneled through a hand full of suppliers only.

It is what it is and I can only wish something else is worked out but I know this isn't going to happen.

Thank you for everything you have done EVGA ( this is everyone at the company )

That's assuming they will uphold the program.. This should have been public knowledge at least a few months before their decision. I would have heavily weighed my options if I knew EVGA was ditching Nvidia. Lowering prices on their GPUS only to ditch Nvidia is a huge slap in the face to EVGA's customers. I spent a lot of money thinking I was getting a company that could 100% stand by their word... How, and I mean HOW can EVGA stand by their warranty/Step-up program if they have limited inventory...

This is very worrying as someone with a 10 year warranty. Hope they have a new partnership in the works or something, and this isn't BFG 2.0
